I could only look down, as we made our way to the king. I didn't even know this place had a king. I didn't even know where the hell I was, or who I was with. I looked up and fixated my eyes on her ears. They were as long as Estel's. And her eyes, just as blue, her hair just as gold. I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

''Now stand up straight. This is the king you're about to meet.'' A soft cry escaped my mouth, as I felt a firm hand on my back. Immediately my back straightened. As I looked forward, I held my breath and my tummy in. The woman opened the door, and I couldn't get the chance to take a deep breath to calm myself down. We slowly walked forward, and I had to brainstorm for something you could say to a royal. Finally we were at the other end of the table. I simply curtsied and mumbled a soft 'Your Majesty' before getting up again. Deep green eyes were staring me down, in an intimidating way. One big hand moved to his small, black beard. ''So this is the Spirit Bounder?'' Excuse me, what? Was what I really wanted to say, but I just couldn't get the words out of my mouth through to the king's intimidation. I noticed he focused his eyes on something or rather someone behind me. I turned my head a little, and I could see a vague version of Estel his face in the corner of my eye. Was he here all the time? Was it his idea to bring me to the king? Estel his blonde hair waved in the movement of his nod. It glistered in the sun shining through the glass, and I couldn't help but stare at him, yet he didn't look back at me. The king stood up from his seat and made his way around the table, to me. He was just inches away and I could feel his breath on my forehead, as he looked down at me. He took small steps around me, looking at every part of my body. Without him noticing, I clenched my fists and took small glares at Estel, hoping he could stop the king from doing what exactly he was doing. Again, he didn't even look at me. And it made me angry. He was looking so lovely at me last night, his blue eyes pleading me to kiss him. Suddenly the king stopped, and stared at Estel again. ''Are ye sure? She's just a girl.'' And at that moment, I found the voice I had lost before. ''Excuse me, but I happen to be a young adult.'' I didn't mean to sound so rude, but honestly, I didn't really care. Who was he to tell me that I was 'just a girl'? Well... he was king, so obviously he could do anything he wanted. But that made me even angrier. ''I bet my life on it, your majesty. She is the Spirit Bounder.'' ''A fierce one, that's for sure.'' Long, black locks fell to one side as the king cocked his head. One corner of his mouth curled upwards as he spoke those words. Those words, spirit bounder... they couldn't leave my head. I awaited an explanation, but appearently, the king didn't feel like it. Estel had gotten orders to bring me back to my room, and we walked in an awkward silence for a while. We got back to the room in which I had woken up a few hours ago. Estel's ponytail fell next to his head as he bowed and he turned to leave the room, until I called for him. ''Estel, what is with you? You won't even look at me.'' He sighed deeply and turned to me. He quickly closed the door and gestured for me to sit on the bed. ''My deepest apologies, Miss Abigail. But we can no longer have a extravagantly emotional relationship. It is forbidden for an elf to have that particular relationship with a human being. It Is against the law.'' I clenched my fists at those words. The salty tears were growing and a few started to stream down my cheeks. I really didn't want to cry over this, but I couldn't help myself from doing so. Even though my throat was thickening, and my voice was trembling, I managed to speak a few understandable words. ''You didn't seem to bother last night.'' ''Abby, that's different.'' ''How is it different?!'' I stood up from the bed, frustrated as hell. Estel sighed and gestured again for me to sit down. This time, I ignored it. ''We were outside at night, alone. Also I really needed... to kiss you.'' ''Well, I need to kiss you right now. Doesn't that count?'' Out of my frustration, Estel shook his head. ''Let us please drop this subject.'' Seriously? He wanted to drop this? ''Fine. Then tell me everything about the Spirit Bounder.'' I went to sit on a chair on the opposite end of the room, as I waited for Estel to talk. ''As you wish, Miss.''
