Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
Got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing here's to never growing up -Avril Lavigne

CJ is one year old.
Ryan has just been born.
"Mommy? Is that a baby?" "Yes, baby boy this is Avery's baby boy." "He doesn't look like her. Where's his daddy?" "Oh sweetie, Ryan doesn't have a daddy, he has two mommys."

4-5 years old
"CJ do you really have to leave all day every day?" "Yes Ry, you'll come with me soon." "But I don't want you to go to school!!" "I know it sucks Ry but I come home in a few hours and one the weekends." "Don't be like your parents and leave all the time!" "Hey! My parents are hero's, but I wont I prowmise."

10-11 years old.
"Do you have to go to Middle school?" "Ry we go through this everytime. Yes I have to, and I will see you there next year. I promise I will not leave you."

But CJ got new friends, he didn't over to Ryan's every day once he started middle school. It was only 4 months into the school year and Ryan was feeling lonley. Ryan didn't feel the need to make other friends he had his bestfriend CJ, but CJ wasn't even that anymore.
When CJ did come over he never stopped talking about the girls in middle school or they boys argued.

"There's this one girl named Kandice and everyone thinks we would make the perfect couple but I don't because I like-" "Oh my god CJ STOP!" "What did I do wrong?!" "You have all these stories about girls and dating and middle school! Im so sick of it! Why can't we just watch movies, dance, or play outsidd like we used to?!" "What's wrong with you Ryan?! Those are such childish things to do! You act like your 4!" Then Avery came upstairs, "You boys knock it off right now! CJ your parents just left for a case in Texas so you are sleeping here. So you boys can either stop fighting or CJ can sleep on the couch!" "He can sleep on the couch tell he stops being an asshole!" Ryan yelled. Avery wasn't surprised by her sons behavior, it happens every time the boys fight. She waited for CJ to retaliate like he normal does, but this time he put his head down and walked out of the room.

Ryan didn't know this but CJ hated sleeping on the couch. CJ regretted everything mean he ever said to Ryan, he wish that moment didn't happen. He loves the childish things they did together, he loves how they dance together, and most of all he loves when the sleep in the same bed, feeling Ryan's warmth was the best thing he ever felt.

And CJ didn't know Ryan regretted making his best friend sleep on the couch. Ryan secretly hoped CJ would come up stairs in the middle of the night lay in bed and they would share their apologies. Ryan knew if he never called CJ that name, they would be watching a movie falling fast asleep. It's just Ryan gets this feeling, he didn't know what it was called, and he freaks out when CJ talks about girls and dating.
