When you're standing in the hall of fame. And the world's gonna know your name. 'Cause you burn with the brightest flame. And the world's gonna know your name. And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame- The Script
CJ studied the boy sleeping in his arms. The boy that has been through so much, the boy he would protect and crawl to the ends of the Earth for. Kissing him on the forehead, CJ decided he was going to marry this boy.
CJ heard the front door open and faint yelling. Then footsteps, he heard his mom talking to Avery, then her footsteps came closer to his room. She opened the door, only to see him awake cudding a sleeping Ryan. "Hey baby boy." "Hi mom." CJ said tiredly. "This case is close to home so dad and I will be home almost every night, but not in time for dinner." CJ subconsciously pulled the blanket over Ryan's chest. Jessica quietly laughed at that. "I understand. It's not the same though." CJ adjusted the blankets again. "I can't believe he let you see his chest. Let alone touch it!" Jessica whispered laughed. CJ chuckled and said, "Well it took years." The room went silent. "Hey CJ." "Yeah mom?" "Never lose him." "I'm gonna marry him, I promise." He said staring at the sleeping boy. Looking at the clock Jessica got up, kissed CJ's forehead, said goodnight and walked out the door.
Ryan woke up asking what was going on, "Shhh, Kitten it's okay. Go back to sleep."
The next morning CJ was given some terrible news. His mom was arrested for killing eleven people. That was a lot to put on a 16 year old. But all CJ was worried about was Daniel and the apparent baby girl his mom was pregnant with.
"Angel everything will be handled, It will be okay." Ryan tried to comfort his lover. "But Ry she killed eleven innocent human beings, I used that gun once or twice, the same gun she used to kill those people! My mom is suppose to be the hero, not the killer!" CJ cried. Ryan had never been in a situation like this one, he didn't know what to do but he knew they would get through it together. Ryan sat there not saying anything, aa he rubs circles into the older boys back, who is sitting between his legs.
Suddenly CJ stood up and said, "You know what? I'm not even surprised." "Angel don't say that." "I will say that! Because she thinks I don't hear her leave and come home at 2 in the morning or I bet she was late to pick me up yesterday because she killed that man!" CJ sobbed some more. CJ always considered himself close to his mom, he was a mama's boy and he loved it but he knew, he knew there was something she wasn't telling him.
Sure his mom and dad would argue at late hours in the night, but they were an intelligent family and no one won these arguments.
Daniel heard his older brother shouting in anger. Daniel wasn't really sure what was going on and he was scared, his brother was angry, Ryan was upset, dad was working, and mom was gone. Suddenly he heard CJ yell, "Get out!" Then Ryan mumbling something. "I just need to think!" CJ shouted again. After a quick mummer an I love you and the slamming of a door, Ryan was downstairs crying on the couch.
"Ryan?" The small curious voice of Daniel asked. "Hey D." "What's happening?" "Come here." Ryan pulled Daniel into his lap and stroked his face, "Your mommy did a very bad thing and wont be coming back for a long time." Ryan began to cry, he really liked Jessica too. "Don't cry Ry." Daniel told him. "Sometimes you just need a good cry and it's my turn." Ryan whispered in tears.
Spencer came through the front door looked at Ryan and Daniel making the conclusion that Daniel was upstairs. When he went up he was greeted with a, "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?!" "ME?! YOU'RE GOING TO YELL AT ME!" "YES IM GONNA FUCKING YELL AT YOU!" "I WAS BUSY PUTTING YOUR MOTHER IN JAIL!" Ryan quickly covered Daniels ears and took him to the house next door. Ryan was pretty sure the whole street could hear Spencer and CJ.
"NOT JUST NOW, BUT EVERYTIME SHE LEFT AT 4 IN THE MORNING AND CAME BACK AT 6 OR ANY OTHER TIME!" CJ screamed. Spencer stared at his 16 year old boy. CJ wasn't usually one to get mad or disobey adults to an extreme like this. He didn't know how to handle the situation, so he walk right out the front door. CJ chased after him, opening the door and yelling, "YOU CAN'T LEAVE NOW. MOM ISN'T HERE TO CLEAN UP YOU FUCKING MESSES!" Spencer just kept walking down the street his destination everywhere and nowhere.
CJ slammed the door closed and a few picture frames fell of the walls. He needed to get his anger out. Looking at the calender he realized he had a game in 10 minutes, that'll work.
