A/N

Hey guys!

So I finally updated! Yay I'm happy. I'm so sorry that it literally took me 7 months to update I had a lot of stuff going on and I was just way too lazy to write but @christinaa76 encouraged me to and so I finally did. I won't ever take that long to update again don't worry. I want to try and update maybe once a week or once every other week and as the story goes on I will start to update quicker. Hopefully get to updating at least twice a week. Anyways this chapter is kind of long so I hope you enjoy!

I watched as Izzy slowly picked up the radio. I knew we weren't alone. The voice came through the radio again.

"Hey, are you alive in there?"

I snatched the radio out of Izzy's hands.

"Hello? Hello?" I spoke into the radio.

"There you are. You guys had me wondering."

"Where are you? Are you outside? Can you see us right now?" I responded.

"Yeah, I can see you. You are surrounded by walkers. That's the bad news." The man said

I saw as Izzy's face lit up.

"There's good news?" I asked. A hint of excitement in my voice.

"Uhh..." The man hesitated for a moment. "No." He stated bluntly.

Izzy took the radio back from me, seeming frustrated.

"Listen buddy, whoever you are. I don't mind telling you that we're a little concerned in here."

"Oh man. You should see it from over here. You'd be having a major freak out.

She rolled her eyes.

"Got any advice for us? Huh wise guy?"

"Yeah, I'd say make a run for it."

Izzy chuckled.

"Ha.'Make a run for it.' That's all you've got? 'Make a run for it.'"

"My way isn't as dumb as it sounds. You've got eyes on the outside hun. There's one geek still up on the tank but all the others have climbed down and joined the feeding frenzy where the horses went down. With me so far?"

"So far."

"Okay, the street on the other side of the tank is less crowded. If you move now you'd have a chance. Got ammo?"

Izzy looked to me and handed the radio back to me.

"In that duffel bag I dropped out there. And guns too. Can I get to it?"

"Forget the bag. It's not an option. What do you have on you?"

"Hang on."

I put the radio down on the ground and checked my gun. Izzy did the same.

"8 rounds." She said to me while she put her gun back in the waist of her pants.

"I've got 7."

She crawled over to a dead soldier that was lying on the ground. She checked all his pockets.

Nothing.

She looked up and saw a grenade on a shelf. She grabbed it and put it in her pocket.

I picked up the radio and held down the button as I spoke.
