*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"Ughh," I groan as the annoying sound from my alarm awakens me.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
The alarm continues to go off until I finally look to the bright light next to my mattress and find Satan's gift sending loud rings through my phone.
7:00 A.M. it reads. I could use 5 more minutes.
I quickly tap snooze and fell back in bed while I wrap myself into a burrito, keeping my eyes shut.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Again I tap snooze and fall back asleep for 5 more minutes.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"SHUT UP!" I yell at the alarm. I get out of my mattress and kneel in front of my phone on the floor. "OKAY I'M UP NOW SO PLEASE SHUT UP. BEEP BEEP BEEP," I yell at my phone as I repeat the beeping noises it makes.
Right when I swiped my phone, turning my alarm off, the room was completely quiet. Perfect enough to sleep quietly.
But the shitty alarm just had to go off so now I'm stuck here awake.
I look around my room and find almost everything gone except for my mattress and a luggage packed with all my clothes. Today's the beginning of the week we start moving, one of the last days i'll be staying in this house.
I sigh and start to prepare for another Monday morning, grabbing a new pair of clothes and heading to the shower.
After my morning preparation I headed down stairs to the kitchen, spotting my mom sitting at the kitchen counter.
"Morning hun," my mom looks up from her iPad and smiles.
"Hi," I say weakly.
"I see you survived again after your little rampage with the alarm."
"It's Monday, what do you expect?" I replied while I started to make a bowl of cereal.
"You argue with your alarm every day except for Sundays," my mom said before taking a sip of coffee.
"Well at least you know I'm awake," I walk to the kitchen counter with a bowl of cereal and take the open seat next my mom.
"Anyway all of our stuff will be dropped off at the new house this afternoon, so maybe after your shift at the animal shelter we could start to set up the furniture."
"Why are we moving again?" I asked after shoving a spoonful of cheerios into my mouth.
"Well first of all the school you go to and which you should be leaving for in 5 mintues, is located in the city and right now we live outside the city. If we get caught you could get expelled. Second of all with all the traffic on the way to work, I always arrive late and have been getting warnings from my boss. And third of all we rented this house and our time is over."
"Couldn't we just pay one more year for this house or something?"
"Nope and who's we? Who's the one paying for this house?" Before I could give an answer she pointed her finger at herself. "This girl. Just be happy you're moving into the city and don't have to transfer schools or anything else."
"I guess." I shrugged.
"Good. Now everything's clear. Meet me at the house after your shift." She said as she began to put on her coat.
"Yup," I grabbed my bowl and put it into the sink.
I grabbed my school bag and car keys and headed outside along with my mom.
"Bye sweetie, call me when you're on your way to the house." My mom said before kissing my forehead.
"Okay," I replied before I got into my car.
And off we went, another Monday.
Yippee.
