I dressed up extra nice since Vain had told me too. I had on a black dress with an open back and some cute black heels to match my dress. I did my hair up in an elegant bun to expose my back. I quickly grabbed my belongings and headed for work.

                                             5:45 AM

I got there right on time I would say. I walked in and instantly spotted Vain, and boy did he look good...he didn't see me till I reached the desk to sign in for work. "Good morning, Adrianna," the lady at the desk greeted me.

"Good morning," I greeted her back kindly.

Vain turned and looked at me, I stared back him. Was he going to say something to me? But no, he just continued to stare at me. 'What?' I mouthed to him. He didn't say anything back but he turned his head away. I sighed in annoyance.

Once I signed in I walked towards him. "Why do I need to attend this damn meeting?" I scowled.

He once again didn't speak a word to me which started to really irritate the shit out of me. He walked away leaving me behind following him. "Vain, I swear to go-" once he opened the door there sitting was Devin. I stopped and stared for a good 3 seconds at him. He's changed.

I then turned my direction facing towards Vain.  This asshole. "Sit, and let's start the meeting," Vain faked a smile at everyone in the office.

I sat down, I began to sweat very badly. I mentally told myself to calm down. It's only Devin, your ex. I scanned my surroundings trying to find a pen or something to fiddle around with so it wouldn't be so awkward. I looked up ad realized Devin sat right across from me, he was looking at me. We made eye contact, my breath hitched.

I quickly looked away, and all I could do was hope this meeting would end quickly.

"So were here today to discuss our production system. We are going downhill, we need to negotiate and combine together to make our production sales go up," Vain had spoken clearly and professionally to all his colleagues.

"We did awhile back, but it didn't work out so well." Devin had spoken up.

"It didn't but maybe if we were to try it again we could. Does anyone have any suggestions?" Vain asked. No one said a word. "If not, then Devin you and I could rejoin again,"

"Who said I agreed?" Devin spoke up.

Vain didn't say a word, he looked at Devin with a glare. He then turned his head and looked at me. "We all know why it didn't work out awhile back," Devin said awhile looking at me. I inhaled sharply.

"I'm sorry, but what had happened?" a man raised his hand. Everyone's attention was now fixated on the man in a grey suit.

"We are getting off topic, now let's go back to discussing about the business." Vain interrupted. Devin did nothing but chuckle. This mofo asshole.

After the insanely awkward meeting I walked into my office trying to contain myself. Devin then walked into my office. I turned and gasped in shock, "How the hell did you even find my office?"

He shrugged, "But look who it is, Adrianna. The same old weak and pathetic girl who lets people push her over." He laughed.

I felt my adrenaline kick in. "Well, actually. I've been called worse." I laughed.

His eyebrows raised, "Oh really?" he said in a goofy manner.

I chuckled, "Yes, your girlfriend," his face then became straight from my bitchy statement. "Well anyways, what do you want from me?"

"A guy can't come see his ex girlfriend?" Devin spoke as he got a little closer to me. I backed up a bit to maintain my own space.

"Well n-no--- I mean yes, but why?" I stuttered horribly when I got very nervous. I crossed my arms over my chest to gain power again, he was going to try to push me over. He even told me I'm an easy push over.

"I just came to see if you would changed, you got very...sexy I should say. But you're still the same girl deep down inside. Nothing new, nothing...." He then quickly scanned my whole body, "Special." Devin was speaking so calmly it was peculiar.  His words hurt.

"Why are you harassing me?"

"It's not harassing when it's the truth,"

"If you are here to retaliate on me, you can turn around and leave,"

"Retaliate? Oh no. What if I said I'm here to win you back? After all, that'll be easy." He spoke every word with pure calmness.

I inhaled sharply at his reply. "Well, you're still the same old ignorant boy that I remember, and you think you could win me back? If I were you, I wouldn't even try,"

"I don't need to try, Ade. Cause I already know my name will be forever stained on your lips,"

"I don't like that, do not call me Ade. I am nothing but Adrianna to you," That last part I  had no words for. He was somewhat right, he was the best boyfriend I had, and he really did mean a lot to me.

"See you around, Ade." Devin gave me a somewhat evil smirk and turned around and left.

Once he had left the room, I didn't realize how fast my heart was beating. I took a deep breath and went go sit back down in my chair trying to comprehend everything that just happened? Did Devin still care? No, I thought. He left me.

I was deep into my thoughts until Vain has interrupted  me "Adrianna, what did you two talk about? I saw him walk out of your office,"

"It's nothing, I promise. Only about work, and he said he wants to help," I lied.

"Why did he tell you, and not me?" Vain raised an eyebrow at me.

"Well yeah, he doesn't like you whatsoever," I faked a laugh.

"understandable," Vain spoke, and left.
