New Encounters

Naruto POV

It was starting to get dark as I finished mapping the entire city. What really caught my ear was when I began to hear rumors about a terrorist group known as the 'Equalists' their motives are to get rid of 'bending' forever. I wanted to see what was happening with the young avatar since my help wouldn't arrive for awhile.

Korra's POV

Today was the day I went to go see my first pro bending match since Tenzin never let me out. It took awhile, but I finally made I was about to go in until I was stopped by the bouncer.

"Hey are you going to pay"
"Ugh..pay?"
"Yes,pay"
"Well if you can't then-"
"Hey there you are I've been looking all over for you!" A guy with black hair and green eyes said
"You have?"
"Yes I have, she's with me"
"Yeah I'm with"

We then left without the guard arguing.

"Thanks for the save"
"No problem"

We then went to the back room where there was training equipment.

"Wow"
"Yeah the best seats in the whole joint"
"Bolin" a boy with black and darker color of eyes came out
"Yeah,Mako?"
"How many times have I told you not to bring your fan girls up here"

Naruto's POV

I was on one of the pillars watching a group argue. The two guys were clearly brothers since they look very similar and from what I heard their names were Bolin and Mako. The argument was soon coming to a close.

"Hey could you show me some of your tricks"
"Yeah, sure I can"
"Right now? Come on Bolin"
"Ignore him, right now I'm just not sure how my earthbending will translate to your waterbending"
"Oh that's okay I'm earthbender"
"I'm sorry I thought with your Water Tribe getup that you were a waterbender"
"Oh I am waterbender, also a firebender"
"Okay I'm really confused"
"Your the avatar and I'm an idiot"
"Both are true"

The group then went to the nearby training equipment.

"You'll want tuck in your arms and weave through the attacks and when you see an opening.." He finished with a quick one,two combo throwing earth at the net setup.
"See?"
"Okay let me try"

The young girl imitated the movements perfectly.

"Hows that?"
"Wow that was amazing" Bolin said
"Not bad" Mako added
"What's it take to impress this guy?"
"I said not bad didn't I?"

Mako then got up and yawned

"Well I'm turning in see you upstairs Bolin"
"Upstairs? You live here?"
"Yep in the attic, but it has a killer view"

Mako then turned

"It was nice meeting Avatar Korra"
"And it was nice to meet you too" she said sarcastically

The two practice for a little while longer and Bolin decided to turn in as well. Korra then decided to head out too.

I made my way to the meeting place where I was supposed to meet my team sent to me by Old man six paths.

3 hours later

After waiting for over an hour I heard footsteps coming down an alleyway. The smell of smoke also hit my nose.

"Hey,Asuma Sensi"

The figure got closer taking a quick drag from his cigarette and puffing out smoke

"Hey, Naruto long time no see"

I then heard the sound of a sword rattling and wooden shoes.

"Zabuza,Haku how are things?"

The two showed themselves as well.

"Well if it isn't the shrimp from before good to see your still breathing"
"Naruto it's good as well to see you"

That's when Asuma began to speak.

"The sage told us about what's going on"
"Yeah about that can I ask you guys something?"
"Hmm?"
"Why are you here? Why come back?"

There was a moment of silence until Zabuza spoke which suprised us all

"Listen kid, I know it's hard to believe, but we chose this not just because the world could be ending, but to help as well"

I looked at him with suprise then with gratitude

"Thanks all of you"
"Okay let's cut this sentimental crap and get down to business"
"Okay, I assume he told you everything"
"Yes, so what is our plan?"
"Well I made a map of the city"

I pulled it out laying it on the wall placing kunai on each corner to hold it up.

"These are places of importance"
I said pointing at city hall, air temple island, and police HQ
"Okay what else you got" Asuma asked
"There's a group called the Equalists their main goal is wipeout all 'benders' or elemental users"
"So what should we do?" Haku asked
"I've been monitoring the Avatar so you three should take one of these others"
"I'll look into the police see if they have info" Zabuza volunteered
"I'll take the city council hopefully they're keeping secrets that we can look at" Asuma volunteered
"You Haku?"
"I'll track down members of this Equalists group"
"And I will continue looking after the Avatar"
"Okay then"

We all dispersed in different directions.

Asuma's POV

I made my way to the city council building after looking out for guards I entered without a sound. Looking into each office I looked through papers and desk drawers I found something of use in a office belonging to the 'Northern Water Tribe' rep. It showed reports of Equalists movements, recruitment efforts and everything, but one report caught my eye.

Dear, Councilman Taarlok

We have tracked movement of Equalists cells they are hoping to have a rally soon, but the destination is unknown we have however spotted two men who appear to be allies of them they wore black cloaks with cloud designs we will report if we find anything new

The Akatsuki? Why would they help them? I mean I could see this group causing some damage, but not a whole lot so why them? I thought trying to break down the situation

Hmm I'll have ask Haku about this if he has anything I thought to myself

Haku's POV

I had eavesdropped on a couple of thugs who had mentioned the Equalists. They had also mentioned that they had been recruiting for something, but ended there.
I searched the entire city and had found a lead that said some Equalists were preparing for a rally and someone had to get an 'invitation' by distribution of protesters l, but once again nothing else

Hmm I'll see if Asuma or Zabuza have heard anything about this I thought

Zabuza's POV

It had been two goddamn hours until I found anything of use. A policeman was reading a report about an Equalists rally, but nothing else. It was until then I spotted another about two strange men with groups of Equalists.

Hmm...damn guess they're making their move I thought

Naruto's POV

It was after the explosive argument Korra had with the monk she had went to bed. I had decided to go back to meet up with my team.

I had made Haku apparently was the first to arrive.

"Hey, Haku"
"Hello, Naruto"
"You the only one?"
"Yes until you came" he smiled

After that the two Jonin also arrived

"Okay what you got?"
"A councilman got word that there was going to be a rally, but doesn't know where"
"Same here"
"Me as well, but I heard that the only way to get to this rally was by an invite"
"An invite? Do they mention how to get one?"
"They said the protesters have them"
"Hmm"
"Not only that, but the Akatsuki have made their move" Zabuza added
"What?" I asked
"Yeah there are reports to a councilman mentioning sightings"
"Same with the police"
"Alright let's monitor them until we find out when"

Everyone nodded in agreement.
