I can't believe it's been a year since the fire, that night when the girls were a sleep I went down stairs to get a glass of water and Salena made me promise not to tell anyone, she made me believe it was my fault. I don't see her anymore she moved someplace far, it's my first year of high school I'm nervous but happy at the same time I'm just trying to forget everything that happened.
 
First period me and Kifaya have history together we haven't seen each other the whole summer after what happened, we try not to talk about it. Emma called me and she said Salenas back. I run to the bathroom sick to my stomach it felt like rats were trying to climb out Kifaya chased after me with worry. "Maeen what's wrong !?"

Second period  math. Ugh I hate math at least I have it with Touba I haven't talked to her in a while, when I walk into my class I didn't notice who my teacher was until I sat down, Kevin Doyle was the math teacher. How can the school board re hire a teacher that just got out of jail so what he got out early because he didn't commit the crime, I was to busy thinking I didn't realize he was talking attendance he called my name about 4 times, I was too nervous and full of fear I ran out.
