The climb we endured,
was higher than we thought,
and tougher than we ought,
to have climbed and to have fought.
This climb we set out on,
to make a future us,
to fake a youthful trust,
was simply just too much.
That climb we attempted,
the one destined for the top,
the one where we gave up,
should've just remained a thought.
If our partnership was just a climb,
and our packs the endurance,
we'd have needed thousands,
to make the smallest summits.
