Dreamboy: Chapter 1

"Hey Nae, Granny's not here. You wanna go smoke?" asked Jess.

Jess was Nae's bestfriend. They were practically sisters. They had another "sister" named Tianne but she wasn't there.

"Man we just got home from church. But you know what... Fuck It!" said Nae.

"But what we gon do wit Xavier?" Nae asked worriedly.

Xavier was Nae's 6 year old brother. He went with her to their Granny's house this weekend, but Nae usually goes alone.

"He'll stay in the house and watch tv." Jess reassured.

Coincidentally, Jess' friend Ace kiked her and asked her if she had some herb. (weed) She said no but she had money so he could go get some. It was around Ace's lunch break. He worked at Wally World Superstore and he hated it.

He drove to Granny's house to get the money then he told the girls he would call them when he got back and he left to go get the weed. About 2 minutes later Granny had pulled up in the driveway. This wasn't a completely bad thing because the girls had a back up plan.

"Hey Granny we about to walk to the corner store." Said Nae.

"For what?" exclaimed Granny.

"To get some snacks." Nae lied.

"Ok, whatever." Said Granny and they left.

Ace had called right when they walked out the door and said that he was on the side of the street waiting for them. When they were getting in the car, they spotted a black SUV that looked familiar. When they closed the doors, Jess got a call. It was her mom! She answered the phone and said:

"Hello!"

"Where are you?" Her mom asked.

"I'm with Nae, walking to the corner store."

"Oh, I thought you were supposed to call me after church" Ms. Collins said.

"Oh yeah I forgot, Sorry."

"Are you sure you're walking to the store? Don't be lying to me Jess!"

"Mom I'm not. I told you I was going to do better right."

"Yeah but you better not be lying to me little girl."

"Mom I'm not."

"Ok, bye" She said and hung up the phone.

"Man yo momma buggin." Ace said, laughing a little.

"I know," Jess said. "Ever since I got in trouble that last time, she hasn't trusted me to do anything."

"Damn." He said, and drove us to the back of the neighborhood.

~Nae's POV~

"Nae can you split this gar open? My nails too long." Jess said while handing me the cigarillo.

I split it open and continued to break apart the bud.

"Here." I said as I handed the empty gar back to Jess.

She took and I handed her the broken up weed and she started to fill it in the gar. She told me to roll it tho cause again, her nails were too long. As she started to hand it back to me she retracted her arm and said:

"Wait! Maybe I should roll it. I don't know where yo mouth's been."

"Not where yours been. Hoe don't try to play me."

We both laugh and she hands me the gar. It was my first time rolling but it seemed pretty easy. I did a good job despite the fact that it was a little loose.

"Damn Nae where you learn to roll!" Jess said, sounding like a proud parent.

I chuckled a little, "It's not that hard fam."

We lit up the blunt and smoked it til there was only a roach left. We had to be gone for like 40 minutes! It was time to back to Granny's before she got too suspicious.

Ace dropped us off down the street and we doused ourselves in Victoria's Secret perfume. We tried our best to tip toe into the house without Granny paying attention to us.

We got in the room and sighed because we were in the clear.

"Damn girl Ace was fine." I said with a little smirk on my face.

"OMG girl he aight." Jess said.

We both laughed and talked for a few more hours. At 5 she had to leave because she had to go to work. When she left, Granny took me and Xavier home.
