The Homeless

They sit there patiently

On the sides of the streets

Begging and praying for something to eat

People walk by them

As if they don't even exist

Something so sad and poor

How could you miss?

People eat their warm, delicious food

Right infront of their faces

While their begging

And wishing

That they could just taste it

They sleep on the hard, cold pavement

Wraped in just thread

While we're in our warm houses

Sleeping comfortably in our soft beds

We forget the blessings

We forget

That this can be taken away from us at any moment

We forget

That maybe tomorrow

We could be from the beggars

The hungry

The helpless

The homeless
