I am Hanna Hyūga. I was abandoned when I was very young. My parents don't love me; they see me as Hyūga scum. I don't deserve the name Hyūga. I have no future as a ninja, unlike my cousins Neji and Hinata.I am 11 and live alone in an apartment block. My next-door neighbor is Naruto; he's a friend.
Today, my monthly check came in from my parents. The rent was already covered, but the money helped with everything else, like food.
But never mind my life story. I left my apartment and went down to the playground to watch the other kids train.
I was swinging on the swing, watching some of them throw shuriken. They were horrible at it. One shuriken came my way and landed at my feet. I picked it up. "Hey Hanna, can you throw it back?" Naruto yelled.
I nodded and threw it back with a spin. It hit the target with such force that the target shattered on impact.
Naruto gawked and fell to the ground in awe as I walked away with a rare smile on my face.
____________ Hokage's Point of View ___________
Sitting in a meeting with another division in the village, we were discussing high-risk occupants. "Alright, we need to figure out what to do about the five occupants," I said.
"Who is the street rat?" Kakashi asked, looking at a picture.
"Hanna Hyūga. She was abandoned by her clan. She has a high risk of going rogue; my intel suggests the Akatsuki are interested in her power," I sighed.
"She just needs family. Hers abandoned her; give her something else to believe in. A reason to stay," my oldest son, Blaze, suggested.
"It's not that easy," I replied, taking a puff from my pipe.
"Why can't it be?" he argued.
"She's different. The village doesn't accept the power she holds. If the Akatsuki find out, the village will be ruined," I said.
"What are these powers?"
"You don't want to know. All I'll say is that the girl's demons are growing every day, and they will need to be ended soon," I sighed.
We continued with the discussion of the other four, deciding on the choice of death for them.

I went to buy my groceries for the week. On my way home, struggling with my bags, a Jōnin stopped me. He had short brown hair, a goatee, and a cigarette in his mouth. "Did you throw that shuriken that caused the target to explode?" the Jōnin asked.
The cigarette smell was getting to me. "No," I lied. I just wanted to get home.
My food was getting heavy, and it was obvious I wouldn't be going home soon, so I put down my bags. The cigarette man looked puzzled. "Why aren't you in school, kid?"
"I have never been enrolled in school," I answered truthfully, confused by his concern.
"Where are your parents?"
"I don't know, but they're coming back for me someday."
"When was the last time you saw them?"
"I don't know." I shrugged.
He sighed, his eyes filled with pity. "Let me help you with your bags. What's your name?"
"Hanna. And you, cigarette man?"
He chuckled. "What's with the 'cigarette man'? My name's Asuma. Where do you live?"
"You smoke, and I didn't know your name. I live in the A.B. block, room 25."
"Alright, let's get going."
Asuma picked up most of my bags and walked me to my apartment. I didn't have much, but it was enough for me. I never needed more due to the lack of visitors. "Would you like a drink, Asuma? I have tea but not many cups."
"No, thank you, Hanna. But would you mind coming with me to the school for a few minutes?"
I shook my head. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm not allowed to go there."
"Why can't you go to school?" He looked puzzled.
I didn't know how to answer, so I took off my armband, revealing a mark stamped on me at birth. It said something, but I couldn't read the language. He looked shocked and a little angry. "Hanna, please come with me."
"Alright, where to?" I sighed, stuffing my hands into my pockets.
"We're going to see my father. Climb on."
So I climbed onto his back with some help. He quickly did some hand signs, teleporting us to the Hokage mansion.
I stayed on his back as he walked until we reached the Hokage's office. Asuma knocked on the door after putting me down and led me into the cluttered room. "Dad, do you know about this girl?" He pointed to me.
I stood up straight next to him as the Hokage looked at me. "Hanna Hyūga. Yes, I know about her. Why?" he said, disappointed.
"Why has she been dumped like trash? Her family is alive and well," Asuma demanded.
"I can't interfere with clan business," he stated simply, taking a drag from his pipe.
"She should be in school. I don't understand what's going on."
"Asuma, take Hanna home and leave the matter alone. End of discussion."
Asuma led me out into the hallway and sat me down on a chair. "Wait here. I'll be out in a minute to take you home." He smiled and walked back into his father's office.
I waited, bored, for what seemed like hours but was only minutes. Naruto's teacher walked past me and stopped. "Hello," I said, smiling.
"You are the kid from the park. Did you cause the target to shatter?" he asked, frantic.
"What are you talking about?"
"You were there when the target blew up. Was it you?"
"I'm trash. I can't do anything like that. Excuse me, but I must leave," I said, getting up.
I walked out of the building and went home.
A few days passed, and the heat was off. I headed to the forest, found my old stash of ninja weapons, and went deeper into the woods. I saw Kiba's team racing, then took a right to my usual clearing.
I took ten kunai out of my weapons bag and some targets to practice on. I climbed a tree using chakra to place the targets in different spots. Closing my eyes, I steadied my breathing and focused. I jumped off the branch, flipping upside down, and threw the kunai, each one hitting a target perfectly.
"You missed one," a man said, stepping out from behind a bush.
"Who said I was aiming for the targets and not the person following me?" I replied, turning to face him with my hands on my hips.
