She fell through the cloud cover after being pushed out of the commercial airliner. She didn't scream because she knew it was her time to die. This was why she never liked using an airplane to travel.

She had a dream that she would die if she traveled by air. The day started out peacefully when her and her best friend we're getting ready to go to her best friend's hometown of Grand Junction, Colorado. Her best friend hadn't told her how they would be traveling to Colorado from Iowa. Ida knew about Desi's fear of flying but never understood why.

Des never told her of the dream about falling to a death from 35,000 feet above sea level. Des should've told Ida about the dream otherwise, Des wouldn't of had to have an argument with Ida about getting on the plane to Grand Junction. If Ida had told her that she was planning on flying to Grand Junction from Des Moines, Des would've started driving the 807 mile trip a day or two ago so she could be there by the time Ida got there. At the airport Des told Ida about her dream, and Ida ask a few questions that helped ease Desi's mind about flying this time. The questions were: what color was the aircraft; did she remember the number of the flight, and if so what was it; and if Ida made an appearance in the death dream. The answers were: blue; yes, 735; and no. The color of the plan we got on was white, the flight number was 902, and Ida was sitting next to her until Desi's bladder decided to scream.

Des got up out of her seat and proceeded to the restroom, when she was grabbed by black haired "emo" teen and shoved from the aircraft. It was then she realize she would've died anyway. The matter the aircraft, flight or otherwise, it would've happened.

But then she felt herself shaking. "Des, we're here. Get up," a voice said in her ear. She sat up. The whole thing was a dream, Ida had driven them to Grand Junction and Des fell asleep in the car.
