As I was leaning on the back of the sofa watching Lisa grind on her boyfriend, I felt a sudden presence next to me. I took another sip of my rum and coke trying to ignore the familiar scent this presence brought along.
I mentally cursed Lisa for being busy rubbing her but on her boyfriend and Renae's menstrual cycle. Renae had stayed at home because she had major cramps and honestly was a raging pmsing bi tch.
"You look like you're having a great time." His voice was dripping with sarcasm but his breath was hot fanning my ear and sending a shiver down my spine. He lingered there, leaning down with his face in my hair. It took everything in me not to push him away.
"I was... up until" I glanced at my watch not really seeing anything. "10 seconds ago." He straightened his back and looked down at me faking a hurt look and I faked a smile in return.
"Ouch, Kenzie. What have I done to deserve that?" This is the part in my head where I would start listing every single thing he has tone to me in order to deserve this treatment. Starting with the disgusting bet. To top it off I would knee him in the balls with every reason I added to the never ending list. It took everything in me not to confront him about the bet and shove this cup up his behind.
But instead my eyes roamed over a guy who had been eyeing me for about ten minutes before Cal decided to grace me with his presence. He had a certain air of nonchalance about him. Leaning against the wall, wearing a pair of old school vans that still looked crisp and clean, a pair of black jeans and a grey henley shirt. He had dark wavy hair that fell in his eyes and a scruffy beard that made him look older than he probably was. A couple of tattoos covered his forearms which in a way made him look even more appealing.
I pushed myself off the couch. "Yeah, you didn't deserve that... Or me" I said loud enough for him to hear me above the music not taking my eyes off the guy.
Without waiting for his response I made my way to the wall he was leaning on. Without second guessing the courage the liquid in my cup had probably provided. I stopped right in front of him and looked up at him. He looked at me with a surprised gleam in his eyes which I now could tell were a dark green.
"I really like this song." I said bringing my mouth right next to his ear. He smelled like aftershave and cigarettes.
"Well, let's not waste any more time." His voice was low and smooth and his eyes challenging. I gave him a cheeky grin. This guy smells like trouble, just what I was looking for. Taking the last few sips of my courage, aka rum and coke I pointed at my cup and turned around to get rid of it.
Calvin was right where I left him watching me with blazing eyes. I gave him a seductive wink and put my cup on a nearby table.
The bearded guy grabbed my hand in his big rough one and lead me to center of the room where everyone else was dancing. I immediately let the beat take over my entire body and started dancing while eyeing him playfully. He had a slight smirk forming his lips as he leaned down only to whisper in my ear. "Didn't catch your name"
"Haven't you." My arms now circled his neck. He rolled his eyes.
"Mind telling me?" He grinned down at me lazily. His front teeth were slightly crooked which only added charm.
"Kenza"
"Sebastian." He said as the song switched up. I turned around and he placed his hands on my hips as I danced against his body lightly.
We went on for about 20 minutes, moving our bodies in sync. I lost myself completely in the music, hardly aware of my surroundings. It was just me, the music and the stranger who happened to be a great dancer. The rum had helped ease my mind and take it off of everything that had bothered me just Bout 3 hours ago.
His grip on my hips tightened making me land on planet earth. "I'd love to keep going but my throat straight feels like the desert on a heatwave." I giggled and let him lead me to the large kitchen where a couple of people were hanging around.
"Drink?" I looked up at him, the bright light in the kitchen allowed me to take in his features. His eyes were a mossy green colour with dark specks of brown in them, something I hadn't been able to see in the dim lit living room.
"Rum and coke." He nodded and made the drink. He grabbed a water bottle for himself.
I raised a brow. "Water?" His chuckle sounded deep and smooth just like his voice.
"I have to drive. Besides, alcohol won't quench my thirst." His eyes roamed my body in a sensual manner.
"Then let's go for a ride." I heard myself say after chugging down my refilled cup.
