Recap from part 33(Stefenie's POV):
"Haha. Just wait for me to come back. Bye!" He disappeared from me and before he went, I heard the jinglings of the keys at the door. I got up and looked through the window with lovely curtains. I was admiring the new morning view when suddenly a large face popped out of nowhere. I screamed but upon closer look, I realized it was only Sebastian's face. His face was very close to the window pane so that's why I nearly peed on my pants just now. "And the keys are on the table! Bye Stefenie!" He disappeared. Grr...why does he do that all the time? It's not fun and I MAY get a heart attack someday. I guess children are children. Even though Sebastian's age is more than mine by many times, that doesn't mean he's still not a baby. Come on, when do vampires get mature? I don't know.
Part 34(Still Stefenie's POV)
"Stefenie..."
"Stefenie..."
"Come...here..."
"Mum?" I called out.
"Stefenie...come...here...to...the...door...I'm...waiting...for...you...there..."
Hairs on my arms stood up as I thought this situation is creeping me out. Mum's never done that before, like asking me to go somewhere step by step. She knows me better than this.
"Stefenie...hurry...Dad and I are waiting for you...open the door..."
I bit my lips as I stared at the door. Part of me wanted to follow my mother's instructions, but another part of me nagged at me for not listening to Sebastian. Still, I decided to go along with my mother and find out whats wrong.
I grabbed the keys from the table and went out into the cool morning air. Instantly I regretted not bringing along the blanket or whatever stuff which can keep me warm. May the devil kill me if Sebastian ever finds out that I haven't a been a good girl when he's not around. It'll really suck if he knows what I'm doing.
"Yes, Stefenie...come...to your left...walk until you reach a little cave...wait for us there..."
As instructored, I walk on until I was sure there was a little cave. At first, I thought of going back after seeing the cave was very dark and creepy, but curiosity got better of me and taking a deep breath, I stepped into the dark sanctuary of the cave and was immediately absorbed into another place. It was a bright and sunny day, though I don't believe that his place is real. The background was a little too dreamy and fake for me to pas it off as true.
"Mum? Dad? Where are you?" I called out.
Surprisingly, the answering voice was not what I had expected.
"STEFENIE, WHY ARE YOU OUT HERE?! I TOLD YOU TO WAIT FOR ME UNTIL I COME BACK TO THE CABIN!"
I swallowed and close my eyes while turning back to see him. When I opened my eyes, I was back at the mouth of the cave with an angry Sebastian in front of me.
"I..." I stammered, trying to find words to get me out of this mess.
"Why can't you just listen to what I say? Even at this crucial moment, you should have got the sense to keep yourself safe, not to create anymore trouble for me!"
"I..."
"Stop stammering! I don't want to listen to your stammerings anymore. I'm tired, Stefenie. I'm really very tired. I don't want to have anything to do with you for the time being. I think you'd better leave now," he sighed.
HE WANTS ME TO LEAVE?! No, it can't be real. It cannot be real. Sebastian just asked me to leave? No one's going to believe that, not even me. But the evidence is right in front of me. I guess this ends our relationship. Tear welled up in my eyes, but I blinked them away.
"Why?" It came out as a pleading sort of voice from me, not what I wanted my voice to be. I don't want to show him that after all we've been through, I'm still a weak idiot who keep relying on him. "You ask me why? I should be asking you that. You made me feel that you are not what I thought what you should be. You're an utter letdown.!"
My heart broke at the moment when he said that. We loved each other very much, but...this? I don't think he will ever forgive me. "I'm out," he said and went back to the cabin.
I wanted to run to him, to hug him and apologise to him, to tell him that I love him very much and that I don't want him to leave me, but I thought better of it. What if he pull away my arms and spat at me saying that I disgust him and he hate me, how would I live with that? Silently in my heart, no, silently in my broken heart, I said one more time 'I love you' to him and wished him luck, because what I'm going to do most definitely would break his heart. If his heart had already broken just now, it'll only hurt him more.
~Sebastian's PoV~
I cursed at myself. What have I done? I shouldn't have left her by herself. What could I do? I was too angry to settle the problem fairly for her just now. I considered going back to her and hold her tightly to me and apologise to her for my outburst but, as you know, we guys have our egos and, well, you know. Hoping in my heart that'll she'll follow me back to the cabin, my heart turned cold when I couldn't feel her near me anymore. Turning back, I yelled her name. "Stefenie!" But no one replied.
I whipped around the area, trying to find traces of Stefenie but there's none. I went back to the mouth of the cave and Devily's scent brushed against me. My eyes widened in horror as I realised what had happened without anyone telling me. I ran back to the cabin to find Jeshe and his teacher and I related to them what had happened.
~Jeshe's POV~
What the hell? What did he mean by 'disappeared'? He's supposed to take good care of Stefenie and not let her go anywhere and now she's gone. Hate and anger boiled inside me, and I listed Sebastian as a trouble maker for me.
~Devily's POV~
I crept up on Stefenie, and I saw her stiffen a little. Ah, she knows I'm here. Now, just turn and come to me, and you'll be my good little girl. She waited until Sebastian was more than five metres away and she turned to me. I knew what had happened, so I made full use of her.
"Stefenie, be my good girl and come with me. We'll take revenge on those who belittled you. We're strong enough to destroy them all. Come with me," I extended my hand to her and within a few seconds, she took hold of them and I brought her back to the new castle.
Tugging her hand, I led us to my father's study and reported to him.
"Father. I've got her," I announced proudly.
"I want to talk to her alone." Stefenie still remained quiet.
"Fine. Don't harm her please. She's my soon-to-be bride," I said and left them alone. I can only hope that he won't harm her or injure her. The second last time she was kidnapped by me had been bad for her at the 'old castle', as my Father put it. I had quarreled and fight with her too much.
Since I've got nothing to do at the moment, I went back to my bedroom and emailed my spy at the wolves' kingdom.
Dear Anne,
I know it's been a long time since I had any contact with you. Please pardon me because I've been busy these few days. Earlier today, Simon caught Stefenie and Sebastian at the place you said they would appear. You were right. So, Simon brought them back here but they escaped. Not long after, Stefenie did not obey Sebastian and he was so angry with her that he broke up with her. Lady luck is on my side today. I went out to look for something I had lost a few days ago near a cave and guessed what I found? I found a heart brokened Stefenie and brought her back here. Now Simon is speaking to her. Just hope you would congratulate me for finding back my soon-to-be wife. How's the events that are taking place in your palace?
Yours truly,
Devily
PS. Try to inform me of what's going to happen or what's happening at your palace. Nice teamwork benefits both of us. Happy to work with you. I'll ask Simon to email you too when he's free. Bye for now.
The next day~
"Your Highness! There's someone trying to break into Miss Stefenie's room!"
