My name is Sam, Samuel Waters, and this is a record of certain events that I deem important for my future.

A transfer student arrived today. The new kid that everyone gets excited about was actually sitting right beside me the whole day. To be truthful he seemed pretty weird to me.

Like every other time we had a transfer student, the class had flocked him, every chance they got. But he didn't utter a word to anyone. This is until lunch break. During lunch, students had three spots that they flocked, the cafeteria for the ones who didn't bring lunch from home, the hallway for the ones who either didn't eat or ate while walking and the rest stayed back in the classroom. I was the first kind.

When I was leaving for the cafeteria, I was abruptly stopped the new student. He was gripping my wrist tightly while staring at me with his black void like eyes. He didn't utter a word just kept it eyes on me; it was as if he was trying to talk to me with just his eyes. It was as if I was in a trance. I couldn't keep my eyes off him.

And then like a wave reality crashed on me. I stepped back and pulled my hand from his grip. But he just kept staring at me; standing in front of me like a statue. I turned around and resumed my journey.

The rest of the day went without an incident.
