"I can't get anything straight. Why does this heat in my stomach occur every time I stutter? It doesn't make sense."

Peridot was in a deep thought about her personal life. Every day for her was like climbimg a mountain she couldn't bare to try. All of this; Poofed, betraying Homeworld, it got to her quickly. It bores her to the point that she could just retreat to her gem and forget everything. She just can't take it.

She took a step away from the barn, then taking a backwards glance. They were all asleep, not a sound in the moon's sight. She took a few steps away again, only to fall back with a quiet "oomf!".

Peridot sat close to the cliff, looking down below her feet. Her eyes stated to sparkle, as she saw the lights of the city glisten through the night. She thought of the other gems, about how they thought of the site. She sat there, in deep thought for a good hour, until the sun began peeking over the horizon line. She stood up, swiping some mud off of her feet. "...maybe i'll come back later..." she mumbled, walking back.

As she got back, she opened the door and peeked in. Yep, everyone was awake by now. She yawned- wait. She yawned, yes. She began to feel light-headed and dizzy, draping over the floor. She tried yelling, but her voice became more weak, as her eyes fluttered. She fell to the floor, carefully trying to grasp the floorboards and try get back up, but her weary self would not allow it. She smiled before dosing off into a slumber.

-Timeskip!-

Peridot woke up to silence throughout the house. The house was a little bit grey as the atmosphere was low. She got up and began to yell. "Hello? Anyone here..?" She got up from the floor, walking around. What did she feel? She never felt.. Drowsy. Did she faint? Probably, because her gem is much darker than before. She took hold of the doorknob before wedging it open. It was normal, but where were the gems? Usually they would be there.

Her gaze slid across the floor, finding some footprints. But, her gaze started getting blurry, and she started to whimper. She ran back inside, bumping into the walls, as she couldn't see clearly. Her yells for help finally got attention, as a figure came from the many rooms. She couldn't make out who the figure was, before darkness was clear in her sight.

--Peridots P.O.V.--

I woke up again, but this time, it was in the barn. I stood up, to find some things wrapped around my arms, legs and forehead. I took the 'thing' off my forehead, and looked in the reflection of myself. I have some 'red liquid' cut on my head, and my gem was super dark. I still had my glasses, but they were cracked. But, atleast I was fine.

I walked back inside, and called out, but... Something changed about the way I spoke. "H-h...hello...?" It was a dull voice, and I stuttered, with my voice cracking. What even happened while I was... In darkness?

I heard footsteps. Finally! I turned back to find Steven rushing up to me as if I was some dangerous monster afraid of human beings. He hugged me, but way to tight. I think he was... Crying? What on earth happened?

"Oh my god... Y-you're ok!" he said, letting me go. "Y-y...yes... B-but... Wha-what.. Happened...?" I said, again with a different tone. "W-well, you were calling out for help, so I ran to you, and... Your gem was cracked, but you were still there. I helped you but... You were unconsious for days... I got worried..." Wait, I was cracked?

"...W-well... T-tha-" I fell onto him, as he caught me, "T...Thank you..." I got back up. I felt... Warm. I felt more comfortable around him. Have I changed over the time I was... 'Unconsious'?

I sat on the floor, looking down for awile. I stared into my hands, and looked at the 'Bandages' as they are called. Being in this condition is more stressing than you think. I'm probably overthinking this. I attempt to get off the floor, but with my legs aching, it was pretty difficult. I got back on my feet, but my legs were shaking.

I took a moment to get used to the pain and started walking to the barn. I leaned against the wall, for rest on my feet. I saw many tgings fly above me, before the stars were uncovered. I took a moment to sigh and then I sat down, looking out at the stars. Ahh, this is nice. A break from it all.

I sat there for a long time, muttering to myself. "What is going on?" I thought, deeply. I just, stared at the stars... yep. Totally not thinking about anyone...
