Does the name Simon Cowell ring a bell to you? If you don't know who he is then I'll tell you.

Simon Cowell is a mean guy who has been a judge on American Idol, The X Factor, America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent, and Australia's Got Talent and also discovered the famous boy band One Direction.

You would think he is great but he's not. I bet you're wondering why I have so much hate for him, that reason is because: he left me and my mum over 9 years ago. That same year she died and I had to go in a foster home.

AND get this, he just invited me to his wedding next week in the UK, back home.

Why should I go? All these years he could've came for me or at least send a letter.

Why now? I grew up watching him on T.V, being successful and happy.

Happy.

He made me unhappy for so many years, I finally got over it when I was 15. I knew he was never coming back for me. I ended up telling everyone I didn't know my dad. Which is kind of true, I don't know who he is anymore.

When I was younger I thought that my mum and dad were happy, but when I was 11 he just packed up and left. That caused my mum and I to move to California.

At first it was hard but it got better then worse.. My mum had done everything for him, love him, cook and clean for him. All he did was dump us for someone who was 10 years younger then him.

Now he's marrying someone who is only 2 years older then me, like wtf.

He is about to be 50 and he is dating a 22 year old. I would understand if she was in her late 20s' or 30's, but early 20s', come on now.

I decided that I would wait for my boyfriend, Beau to get here and ask him his opinion.

In the past year I expected to run into my dad at an award show or something, because Beau is an actor but I haven't.

I'm hoping he has some good advice for me, and if I have to go I would want him to come with me.

"Hey babe" Beau said walking in my flat. He wrapped his arms around me and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"I need some advice" I told him putting down my phone on the coffee table.

"Shoot" he replied and I told him everything about the wedding and my dad.

At first he didn't believe me, but I showed him a picture of him and myself when I was 7.

"I think you should go" He said "I would love to come too... but I can't. I have to finishing filming for Awkward."

Dammit!

He is telling me to go and he can't even go. Great, I have to face him and everyone else alone. I wonder if he knows about mum.

"You'll make it through it, I promise" He told me after seeing my face.

God I love this man.

"So you're name is really Katie Cowell not Katie Griffin?" He asked after a while and I held back rolling my eyes.

"Yes that was my name until I was like 15"

The rest of the week went by faster then I wanted it to, and finally it was the day of the wedding.
