"Have you found a human?" Asked my mother for the hundredth time.

"Not yet," I sighed. "I can't find anybody worthy."

"Should I capture one for you...? I heard that you can do that." Mother suggested as she brushed through my hazel curls.

"No way!" I shook my head and stared at my reflection. "This is the 21st century. You don't go and capture humans, mom. It's called love. You marry a human based on love."

Mother pressed her lips together and sighed. "I wish I better understood your kind," she said as she laced her arms around me. "I just want what is best for you. You need to find a human."

I smiled and took her hand. "I will. Eventually."
