A/N: TAYLOR SWIFT TO DA RIGHT

Lindsay

I search through the faces of the crowd piling out from school. I was currently outside, standing on the school lawn, waiting for Mitch to come out. I had to look attractive for him, so I pulled my hair off to one side. I always looked better that way.

After twenty minutes, the crowd begins to slowly fade away. Where was Mitch?

Unexpectedly, I see Lauren and her crew come out from the front doors and rush towards me. What did they want from me? I haven't seen them in a couple of days. They stop only two feet away from me. Lauren had a red mark on her cheek. What happened to her? She rolls her eyes and turns her head towards her friends, who were behind her. "Hey, look girls. It's Lindsay, the one who tried to commit suicide the other day and failed." I froze as my eyes widen.

How did they know? She smirked and turned my way. "And guess who stopped her? My ex - fucking - boyfriend." Giggling was heard from behind Lauren. "You were better off dead, so why did he save you? Does he actually care about you?" I don't answer. "Cat got your tongue?" She smirked as she circled around my motionlesss body. "You do know that Mitch plays a game with one girl, then moves on, right? " I still don't answer. I wasn't scared of her; I was just afraid of somehow spilling the truth to her. I gulp. "Y-You're lying," I say nervously. Lauren laughs but stops when she meets my eyes. "You wish I was." Her eyes were narrowed to slits as she waves her friends off, signaling them to leave. Lauren turns and leaves with her crew.

Just then, Mitch comes along with a textbook in his hand and his bookbag slung over one shoulder. He smiles passionately when he sees me and makes his way over to me. I could feel my cheeks growing hot every step he took clsoer to me. "Ready to go?" He says, with his soothing, husky voice. "Yeah," I say dreamily, mesmorized my his green eyes. How could someone be this perfect? I swear, it wasn't even possible. "You okay?" He waves a hand in front of my eyes. Then, he smirks. "You easily daydream, you know that right?" I giggle and roll my eyes. "Let's get going. We have lots of work to do. Well, not a lot. Maybe just a few questions. Did I bring my paper? Wait, did I even bring my textbook?!" I panicked and remembered sticking my paper into my textbook. Relief sets inside of me.

"You talk too much," Mitch says flatly. I laugh.

"It's in my family. Get used to it."

"Whatever. My house is this way." He takes my hand and guides me to the sidewalk, then turns left. Whenever he touched me, butterflies would be immediately released from it's cage inside my stomach.

I gulp. Our fingers were still interlocked. Oh, that's right! I still haven't reminded Mitch about what he was going to say to me! "Mitch?"

"Yes?

"Remember when you said that you wanted to tell me something?"

"Yeah."

"What were you going to say to me?"

A nervous look crosses his face. "Oh, n-nothing important." I swear, I could hear his heart beat from here.

"Okay," I say, suspiciously. He was definitely hiding something from me, no doubt about it. But, I decided not to question it. I might get a little too eager.

I noticed that our fingers were still interlocked, so I quickly took my hand from his grip. Mitch looked at me with sad eyes, but quickly got over it. I didn't want the situation to get too awkward.

After ten minutes of silence, I finally hear Mitch yell "We're home!" I follow him to the front steps and into the foyer. "Wow, you have a beautiful home. Where are your parents at?"
