Y/N POV

I don't feel like this is right. We have been walking in the same forest for an hour and everything is deadly silent making me feel off.

"Rogue, I don't feel right." I say stopping and looking around my stomach lurching.

"Hey Y/N, it'll be alright." Rogue's reply was simply, but gave me hope.

I took a deep breath in and out hoping he was right.

Please say he was right.

"Don't you think we should be going back to the others since we haven't seen anything?" I asked him tugging on his arm hoping we could go back.

"You scared?" Sting asked me. I wanted to retort back, but he was right.

"Y/N, I think it is best to keep going. We'll find Gray faster if we are split." Rogue said resting his hand on mine.

I slowly let go of his arm and look forwards, I mean what's the worst that could happen?

"HELP ME!!" I froze at the voice. Gray, he was near. We started running towards his voice.

"Gray! Where are you?!" Rouge yelled looking all around.

"I'm up here!" We all stopped and looked at the sky, our eyes full of panic and worry.

Rogue opened his mouth to speak again, but quickly closed it. I looked over at him questioningly before I quickly snapped my head back at the sky that was quickly darkening the snow heaving all of a sudden.

A giant pair of wings flew overhead and talons could be seen. It was there but only for a quick flash not even lasting 1/100 of a second, but something was clearly in its talons. I'm not sure if the others saw it to, but that something was a someone and that someone was Gray.

"Guys, we need to go, now!" I screamed taking off in the direction the beast went.

"You guys saw that to right?!" String screamed from behind me.

Our silence was answer enough. The air get more tense as we ran trying to catch up to the beast even though it was pointless. The snow started getting heavier and was falling faster, to the point where it was unbearable. I stopped my muscles to cold and instantly started shivering. Sting and Rogue stopped right beside me also shivering, but not as much as me.

I looked up at the sky. The sun shown through and the sky wasn't dark, there weren't any clouds around at all in fact it was like the snow appeared out of nowhere. I took another step forward almost falling over from all the shaking.

Rogue walked up behind me and gave me a tight hug trying to help warm me up. It only helped slightly but I'm not going to turn him down. I looked up at him and smiled trying to convince him, but he didn't believe me. He just stayed there tightening the hug.

"Blah! Stop it guys I am still here and I would prefer you to keep it in your pants!" Sting yelled at us playfully laughing at his own joke.

Rogue shot him a glare and all I could do was laugh. Rogue let go of me and walked over to Sting looking like he wanted to start a fight. He lifted he fist in the air ready to bring it down

Ssssshhhhhhhhhrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee

We all turned our head in the direction of the noise. To the right of us was a dragon, white with a blueish tint to it.

Oh my  god.

I took a step backwards. I'm not ready for this, I only just learned magic.

"Wh-what do we d-do?" I asked stuttering from both the cold and my fear.

"Come on we have to fight, that was the job after all." Sting stepped to the front ready for battle his fist already glowing a little white.

I only nodded, my fists started glowing black and white. I was not ready.

Rogue jumped out first, "Shadow dragon-" the dragon before us just flicked its hand up and sent Rogue flying with ease, his back slamming into a tree behind us.

I dug my feet in the piling snow, now or never. I jumped out to the dragon my fists in the air ready to throw my first attack, "Light Shadow Dragon Wing Attack!" I yelled, instantly came two strings of magic coming from my hands as I slashed them back hitting the dragon square in the face. I landed feeling proud of myself maybe we did have a chance. At least that's what I thought until I looked back. The dragon didn't even have a scratch. My eyes widened.

"We need to attack all at once," Sting said already moving to the other side of the dragon. I slowly stepped over my eyes never leaving the dragon. Sting looked over at me and then at Rogue then back at the looming dragon,"GO!" we all attacked yelling out attack names at trying to srike out. Sting and Rogue hit, but mine missed from being slung across the air by the force of the dragon.

I hit the ground square on my back knocking the wind out of me. I stood wheezing trying to get my breath back, though it wasn't really working. Sting and Rogue both looked at concern in their eyes. I shook it off and motioned at the dragon telling them we need to continue the fight.

They nodded once looking back at the dragon continuing their attacks. I took a step forward still shaky, stumbling forward still trying to find my balance my head spinning.

I jumped forward mouth opened ready to bite, "Light Shadow Dragon Bite!" I screamed. I bite into the flesh of the dragon, but it was hard at most the worst I did was leave a tiny mark, but it would be te best we got so far.

I jumped off my breath finally back and was prepared to jump again, that was until I heard screaming in the distance. I fell gracefully on my face and staying on the ground for a few second before deciding that I needed to get up.

"Y/N! Are you alright!" Rogue yelled at me running towards me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I think." I picked my hands up and wiped all the dirt off my face.

"Do you know what that was?" Rogue asked looking at me, a questioned look filled his eyes. He is just as confused as I am.

"No, but we need to finish this fight." I said facing the dragon one more time. It may feel hopeless but I cant just give up.

"Y/N, I don't think it's worth it... I- I don't think we can beat it."

I wanted to look at him square in the eye but I knew that from his tone it truly broke him having to say that, he didn't want to that was for sure. I looked over at him and saw the hopelessness in his eyes inly making it worse. I took a step forward reaching my hand out to touch his shoulder hoping to reassure him, though I know it was hopless.

Right before I touched his shoulder though a force blasted us and then my vision was going away and for some reason all I could think about was that time in gym class. When we were playing dodge ball and Rogue knocked me out, that was not romantic at all though I don't think he planned on it to be. I let out one more shaky breath as my vision went completely black.

Not the time Y/N.
