Part 2 of Knowing What's Right

Lucy's POV -

Slowly I felt a warm hand start to mold its way into mine with a tight grip that wasn't to hurt me, but to protect me. The way he did it was gentle, it was to let me know that he would always be by my side no matter what. The once crystal tears that had been forming were gone by the gentle hand of Natsu wiping them away. I could feel the wind starting to pick up because my hair was starting to lift off my shoulders. Happy, once buried into my side, looked up at Natsu to see the next move he would make. I was curious myself. There he was, Natsu Dragneel, standing right in front of me holding one of my hands, and cupping my face with his other hand. I could feel my heart start beating faster, and not because I was in fear of what was going on around me, but because of the way Natsu looked at me. His soft onyx eyes looking at mine with sorrow... I couldn't bear to look at those eyes any longer so I slowly broke the tension by looking at the dead ground.

Natsu POV-

"Lucy Heartfillia, don't you dare look down at the ground," I said taking my free hand to lift her face so that our eyes would meet again. Her eyes sheepishly looked back into mine. "Lucy... I don't want to admit the things I'm about to say but you need to hear them." I could feel that longing feeling inside me build up to my throat which made the words about to come out hard to say. "Gray and Loke are on a magic level right now that I've never seen before, and...". Great, now I'm going to start crying. "I know Natsu," Lucy said trying to hold back new tears. By that point we were both just looking at each other with tears in our eyes, but at that moment I knew what I needed to do... Closing my eyes I slowly moved closer to Lucy who obviously knew what I was doing, because she copied my actions. Before we actually closed the small gap between us we both looked at each other, making sure that the other was okay with it. But before I got Lucy's approval I kissed her full force...
