Chapter 7

"I guess I don't want you to get hurt and I doing want to loose my friends." Ellington said," and it looked like you were gonna hurt him. I mean he's the boy, but you're the vampire."

That stung. I world never do anything to hurt anyone.

"Its not that you want to hurt him. That's not up to you. That's up to your vampire instinct. Its not under your control." My brother said.

" Ellington, it'll be okay. If I feel anything take over my body, I'll get away from Ross as fast as I can." I said.

" Alright, I trust you." Ellington said.

Cece's POV:

I can't believe my brother would think I was going to hurt Ross. I'll just stay away from Ross so no one says that I'm going to hurt him. I checked the time to see they it's almost time for dinner. I have to show Stormie & Mark that they can trust me. I got dressed in my yellow dress that is up to my mid-thigh, and my black, velvet flats. I went to Rydel's room and before I could knock, she opened the door.

"Why are you dressed up?" Rydel asks.

"Remember? I have to impress your parents." I reminded her.

"Oh yeah! Huh?" Rydel exclaimed.

"Could I, um i don't know, come in your room, maybe?" I said as polite as possible.

"Pshhhhh, yeah. Sorry about that." Rydel said opening the door wider so I could step in.

"So do you have any tips or advice I should need to impress your parents?" I asked.

"Umm. Well, you have to be organized, have good manners, and be polite." Rydel said.

"Well, that's easy because I'm really organized, I'm polite 〜unless someone annoys the heck out of me〜, and I have good manners. Not trying to brag." I said.

"Let's go downstairs. We need to eat. My mom isn't the type of person you want to have waiting for you." Rydel commented.

"Good idea." I said.

Rydel and I rushed downstairs to see everybody was sitting down. The only spot that wasn't taken was the chair in between Riker and Ellington. I completely forgot to introduce myself and I started thinking of the "what if's" such as : What if they don't like me because I didn't introduce myself? and so on. I guess Ellington was reading my mind and he decided to introduce me to Stormie and Mark.

"Stormie, Mark, this is Cecelia, Rydel's friend and my sister." Ellington said.

"Hi. Nice to meet you, Cecelia." Stormie and Mark said in unison.

"Hi. It's very nice to meet you, too!" I exclaimed.

I almost started fan girling because I have always thought they were cool parents. We all began serving our food and eating and I zoned out while eating.

"Cece? Hello?" Ellington asked since I was zoned out.

I snapped out of my daydreams.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I was thinking we could goof off in the backyard with the water guns... You wanna join us?" Ellington asked.

"Yeah sure." I said.

"Well, you need to dress in black, pick someone for your team, and choose your weapon. You either fill the water guns with ice-cold water, soda, chocolate, or anything of your choice." Ellington explained.

"Those are weird choices and rules, but okay. Yepperz." I replied.

I got up and swiftly got everyone's dishes and started washing them. Everyone tried to keep me from doing the dishes.

"Look! There's a cat on ceiling!" Ross exclaimed and was lying through his teeth.

"Aye Cece! Look I can play the harmonica and guitar at the same time!" Rocky said and began playing both instruments.

Wow! That boy was talented. I payed attention to the dishes when I realized I wasn't in the kitchen anymore. Ratliff carried me up to my room and locked me in. Just great. But on the bright side, I'll get to get ready for the 'Night Games' as Ell calls them in his little head of his. I got up and put my black sweatpants, shirt, sweater, socks, and converse. I looked as if I was going to a funeral a bit underdressed. I unlocked the door God knows how and I got out. I went to the kitchen to find everyone choosing their weapon. Rydel had a water gun full of glitterified water; Riker had a water gun full of melted chocolate; Rocky had a water gun full of Squirt; Ross had a water gun full of coke; Ell had a water gun full of green ink; and Ryland had a water gun full of chocolate. How did Ellington fill his water gun with green ink? Only God knows what he did to get green ink in his water gun. I had a tough time choosing, but I ended up with a water gun full of Dr. Pepper.

We were already in the backyard and they had lots of big trees and a sick* pool! I had Ross, Rydel, and Riker on my team. These so-called 'Night Games' were basically like The Hunger Games*. The 'NightGames' were different though. In the 'Night Games' you had to squirt someone 3 times repeatedly until they're out, you have teams, the team with the most players out loses, and the game goes for only 2 hours.

I'm sorry it took me so long to update! I honestly didn't think I'd get 707 reads. I've been busy with my guitar and piano lessons. I'm very busy with choir at Church, guitar lessons , piano lessons, school, and homework! I'll still write but the updates will be a tad slower. ~ Carly
