Meeting at the Border

"Ready to meet more wolves?" Seth asked enforce we started running.
"I don't know if my nose can take it" I said.
He laughed and we started running anyway. Of course Seth and Jacob phased first and Jacob let Renesmee ride on his back. I stuck with running.
After a couple minutes of running, Jacob and Seth phased back.
"We're close to the border" Seth told me.
"And what's going to happen at the border?" I asked.
"Well hopefully Sam will be there and I'll try to talk to him"
"Is it going to be about me?"
"Yeah. I won't cross if they don't let you"
"So what's this border thing about?"
"Basically the wolf and vampire territories. I'll explain the rest later"
I nodded once before we walked to the boundary.
"We'll wait for Sam to show up" Seth said. I nodded.
He smiled at me then stood I front of me protectively. Sam was almost here, I could smell it.
I looked up at Seth. I knew I was strong but not strong enough to fight off a wolf pack leader. I knew that Seth would protect me.
Jacob and Renesmee stood in front of Seth and I as another wolf appeared. He was black and scary looking.
He ran into the woods and then within a few seconds, came back as a human.
"Hey Jake, didn't know you were coming" Sam said. He looked like Seth and Jacob. Russet skin. Black, short hair. A little bigger than Jacob.
"Seth told me you had a message. I wanted to visit anyway" Jacob replied.
"Right. And Hey Ness" Sam said.
"Hi Sam" she said back with a polite smile.
Sam seemed to have tensed up at something
"I smell a leech- besides the half one right in front of me" he said.
Seth tensed up too and I became a little worried. I put my hand on his arm lightly. He looked back at me slightly then looked back at Sam.
No one said anything. Sam looked confused.
"Seth, who's that behind you?" Sam asked, just noticing me.
"You can't hurt her" Seth said.
"What are you talking about?" Sam demanded.
"If you meet her, you have to promise not to touch her" Seth told Sam.
"Okay?" Sam said confused.
"Come on" Seth whispered to me. He grabbed my wrist an pulled me lightly so that I was in front of him.
"Is she a vampire?" Sam asked, as if he were surprised.
"Yes" Seth said firmly.
"She's not a Cullen" Sam realized.
I shook my head, my eyes had stayed looking down at the ground. Until now, I decided to look up at Sam. There was no way of describing his expression, it was mixed with so many emotions.
"She's a newborn? She's a danger to both of the territories!" Sam just about yelled.
Seth pulled me to his side now, rather then in front of him.
"Why is she with you?" Sam demanded, growling under his breath.
All got silent. I looked up at Seth. He looked down at me.
"Want me to tell him?" I asked almost silently.
He shrugged as with an expression saying 'if you want.'
I looked over to Sam. I sucked in one long breath.
"Seth...imprinted...on me" I say slowly.
Sam seams like he understands and accepts. But also angry. Who knows what he'll say.
"Had to be a bloodsucker, didn't it?" Sam says quietly. I think he wants me to hear that.
"You know I can't control it" Seth defends himself.
"I know" It sounds like this means he is okay with it.
"So...is she aloud across the border?" Seth asks hopefully.
"I guess. You guys are over there anyway" Sam says. That was a shocker but I smile anyway. Seth does too. I notice he is still holding on to my wrist and he now pulls me carefully across the invisible border line. I am now standing next to Sam.
"Sam Uley" he says and puts out his hand for me to shake. I grab it and smile.
"Olivia" I say. His hand is warm in mine for the couple seconds I'm holding it. Then we both drop our hands at the same time.
