Rebecca's P.O.V
~at school~
"Rebecca Ann Fosters!" Zoë the queen bee acca 'schools bitch' snarled out mockingly as I opened my locker.
Zoë Cleo Star was the most popular girl in the school. She was gorgeous with her chocolate brown eyes, dark brown hair, and her perfect tanned skin. You could say she was the prettiest girl in the school and I would have to agree with you. But her personality was nothing like her pretty little face.
If you got on her good side, I heard she can be the sweetest person ever. But somehow I managed to get on her bad side. Don't ask me how. Right when I introduced myself to her in middle school, she hated me right away. From that day on, she made my life a living hell.
One of her favorite hobbies seemed to be making me suffer. My best friend Kenzie, seemed to think she did it to trigger a reaction out of me. But I personally, I had no idea why.
The cheerleaders behind her giggled at the scene before them. She stood in her 'little group' of cheerleaders with her arms crossed across her chest.
"Has the nerd gone mute?" Zoë asked, smiling evilly at me.
I decided to ignore Zoë. I grabbed my books from my locker before shutting it. I spun the lock twice to make sure it was locked. When I looked up, I saw them all smirking at me like they knew something I didn't. I tried to step around them, but they all blocked my path.
"You think you can ignore me?" Zoë asked in shock. Her annoyingly high pitched voice was giving me a slight headache.I knew it was best if I stayed quiet and let her do all the talking.
"You can't ignore me no matter what! No one ignores me! If you don't want to have any troubles for the rest of the year, I suggest you start respecting people who are better than you!"
I bit my lip nervously, avoiding her eyes. I knew I was going to be late if I didn't get passed them to my next class. We only had 3 minutes for all passing time.
"Now I suggest you apologize!" She said, holding her head up high.
I sighed. "Sorry."
She scrunched up her face. "You call that an apology?!"
I looked up at her confusingly.
"Don't look at me like I'm nuts!"Someone cleared their throat impatiently behind the cheerleaders. I tensed up when I saw who it was. It was Luke. He was standing right behind Zoë. His face was filled with annoyance. Zoë stood there, staring up at him like she was hypnotized. He pushed straight passed her and walking my way.
Once Zoë realized what was going on, she fixed her cheer skirt and batted her eyelashes sweetly in his direction, but he didn't even glance back. As he walked pass me, I felt the whole zoo in my stomach. My heart was pounding so hard against my chest, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack at any moment. As he walked down the hall and out of sigh, I felt shattered. I knew there was no hope for me. Plus he was dating that Zoë chick
Luke Furness was the schools 'bad boy' that pretty much everyone feared, Except for McKenzie Scott. He was sharper than a needle, but he didn't try at school. He could be scary, but he also had his sweet moments where he would stare out in space while thinking deeply about something. Except there was one thing Kenzie was head over heels for Luke. He wasn't your typical bad boy though; I knew there was something special about him. He didn't seem to have any friends, or at least from what I knew.
His perfect blonde hair was the shade of the sand on a hot day at the beach, his eyes were emerald green, and they seemed to hypnotize me from afar, and he had perfect Greek God sculpted face.
"Quit day dreaming." Zoë huffed from behind me. "You're everything he doesn't want in a girl."
I decided to play dumb. "Who?"
Zoë rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"She's so stupid." One of the cheerleaders said.
"I know!" Another one replied.
"She doesn't even understand English!" Another one commented.
"Totally!" Another agreed.
The bell suddenly rang, I felt myself start to shake. I was already late to class.
"Look who's late to class!" Zoë sang.
"Oh yeah Rebecca there's a party this Friday, Be there!" Zoë laughed walking off.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"But Baby, I own your body either way"
