Every day Mackenzie would come in and tell me stories, tell me what I was like, tell me about myself, trying to help me remember. One day when Mackenzie was telling me about her day at school, then the nurse came over "Darling, you seem to be in a stable enough condition to return home, if you would like" I let out a little squeal and hugged Mackenzie.

Today was finally the day. The day I got to go home, return to my own bed, my own room. My memory was becoming clearer, and clearer day by day, it was all thanks to Mackenzie.

I was ecstatic, as soon as Mackenzie and Mum walked into the room me and Mackenzie darted for Eachother and hugged. I couldn't wait. The trip home was quite quiet, when we pulled up in front of the house, I remembered, I let out a little gasp causing my mum to go hectic, "I remember" I remembered the times when we tumbled down the lawn, played in the sandpit, had waterfights, pretended to fly. "Do you remember everything?" Mackenzie asked "No, just all the fun we had out here." I replied grinning.

I collected my bags from the boot and headed up to the door, I had pictured this moment, opening the front door again. I twisted the knob and pushed the door open.
