Today I made a promise,
I will try to make it ring true,
And if I fail,
I feel that they will feel blue.
Yesterday I made a promise,
Not one fake smile,
I know that one will break,
I won't be able to keep that one for a while.
Days before I made a promise,
I must not cut,
I have failed that one many times,
With all the doors I've shut.
Weeks ago I made a promise,
That I wouldn't look I would see,
It was hard and I made it work,
But now I can't be me.
Years ago I made a promise,
Not to fall in love,
No one for me,
So maybe I would have a chance to rise above.
Most of my past promises broke,
Will this one fail as well?
