Running that's all you ever do, risking your life to save the ones you love. Your only two choices are to kill or be killed. Diseases are spreading world wide, there's no escape, no cure. Questions roaming through your mind. "Where do I go, & how do I survive?" There was no preparing for what had happened & you have to live with that. Either you fight, or die trying.
I see an open abandon building not too far ahead. We then, quickly make a run for the building getting everyone inside closing the door. "Is it even safe to here?" She looked around at the place holding our daughter close to her side. This place had cob webs all over the place, broken lights, the place was more then abandon.
"Safer then out there." I replied flicking the light switch seeing if the lights work. She sighed fixing her daughter on her side.
I then grabbed my side to grab my walkie-talkie. "Where is it?" I said quickly dropping the bag searching through it.
"Where is what? And calm down, what if one of those things are in here!" She gritted through her teeth placing the little girl down.
"Stay close," she warned towards the little girl. The little girl nodded her head.
"The damn Walkie-Talkie!" I spat vigorously.
"Damnit!" I shook my head pissed throwing the stuff at the wall, "Justin! You need to calm down!" She spat angrily towards me.
"Don't tell me to fucking calm down, that was the only thing to get us to safety & now it's gone!" I gritted through my teeth.
"Okay! But, getting mad isn't going to help anyone!"
"You know what-" I paused hearing a glass shatter, my eyes widen before heading low clicking sounds. I held up my finger signaling complete silence. I pulled my gun out clocking it back reloading it, only to have it make a loud snapping sound.
I heard a little scream echo inside the place. "DADDY!" I heard, I quickly run towards the sound pushing away the empty boxes away. I then, see the thing tied up to a pole trying to reach at her. She tries to run only to have the thing grab her.
"Get off of my baby!" She yelled kicking the thing in the face, grabbing the little girl from its arms holding her tightly. "I told you to stay close!" She mumbled holding her tightly.
I shook my head shooting the thing in the head. They both squealed covering their faces. "I'm sorry mommy, but there was a light & i wanted to see where it was coming from." The little girl replied scaredy still shaking.
"Never do they again, you could of gotten hurt badly or even yet killed..." I sighed moving her hair out of her face.
"Are you sure your alright, no scratches no anything?" I raised my eyebrow. She looked and straight into my eyes nodding her head.
Not long before we heard loud banging on the door outside. "Stay here." I warned moving forward. I squinted my eyes looking at the wooden door seeing cracks starting to form. Before they finally break it through.
"RUN!"
