Dream Catchers

I know I haven't finished my first book, but this will help me with my writing. I guarentee it! Is it all over the place?

Prologue

Gods....when you hear this word, you think of the leader of heaven, Percy Jackson, Greek gods, Egyptian gods, Buddha, and more. You. Are. Wrong. Gods, is a clan of Dream Eaters. What do you think of when you hear it? Fear? Dreams? Materializing? Maybe so, but you are partly wrong. They can eat a person's dream and materialize something from that dream. However, there is a consequence. Eating a person's dream will shorten their life. There are several that cannot stay in that clan for long. Only few have stayed for a many of hundreds of years, and they are the three leaders of Dreamland. The top Dream Eater is May, the IlIusion Princess. Next is Matthew, the Gift of God. Lastly, Chad, the Prince of Battles.

In the past, they were excited to be chosen as the leaders. but after 2-300 years, they got bored, and let the other clan members do the work. What do you think happened? They were called into the Middle World and the Leader lowered their rank to Dreamers. Dreamers are normal humans. Soon, they were exiled to the Human World, and was told to become Dream Eaters once again. If you thought this would happen, GOOD JOB, and give yourself a pat on the back.

No, don't do that, just slap yourself and keep reading. Before they were exiled to the Human world, they were given a small mission to find the correct Dream Catcher for themselves. They wouldn't know unless they saw it. After being forced into the Human World, they lived together, went to school, but they didn't do their homework, skipped or slept in class, and didn't even talk to people. They were still lazy and didn't really care.

After a few months, they knew they were missing the easiness of materializing objects from dreams. They knew they couldn't just enter people's dreams, much less, eat them. The only thing they could do is Dream and walk into other dreams. You couldn't just walk into to it publicly. This was the privilege given by the leader of the Middle World. To become Dream Catchers, they had to reverse the negativity of 1000 dreams. This was basically a Pre-Dream Catcher instead of a Dreamer. It sounded easy, but 1000 was a bit much. The easy part is that if they all work together to fix a dream, its counts as three. So basically, they could walk into 334 dreams, and be finished. Although, it was hard to find negative dreams, or Nightmares. Unless, they provoke the Fowlers, who are half dream eaters.

Dream #1 was sort of difficult, but they got an Aura Scroll. Aura Scrolls are mini scrolls that you recieve after you leave the dream phase. It will tell you the owner's name, his or her dream, and what percent you got on it. If you are soloing a dream, you have to get 85%-100%. If you are in a team, it must be a 250%-300%. Usually, in a Aura Team Scroll, there are three sections that tell the percent of each teammate. Then, it will total it up.The scroll will be sent to the DreamLand factories and the Leader of the Middle World. In the place of a scroll, a new thread will be added to your dream catcher. For now, they have to keep the scrolls until they find the correct dream catchers.

Dream Catching is no easy task, but it will be once you get the hang of it. What did you think? That people could just buy a dream catcher and it would work? You are so wrong. You never really cared because you didn't want nightmares. They will always happen. No matter how many dream catchers you buy, it won't be enough, because out of every 5 dream catchers, a nightmare will most likely come. So, to summarize, dream catchers trigger and increase the appearances of nightmares. Each dream has a grid. A grid tells you the locations of the landscape of the dream. If you enter one for the first time, your grid will only show the area that you are at. You have to go through a series of puzzles, worlds, and battles to unlock areas in the dream. You cannot avoid them. When you encounter a cliff, it means you have to unlock something. It's like a digital world.

Well, since I have told you this much, appreciate it, because you will go on an adventure with these three into the Mirror of the Human World....I got you confused haven't I? You will find out soon enough. Good luck!
