"Mommy, I can't breath" Riley managed to let out and with that, Topanga's arms were no longer tightly wrapped around her daughter.
Riley forced a smile at her mother before skateboarding her way to her new school. Well, it's basically the John Quincy Adams Middle School but a high school. She sighed, she was going to be taught again by her father and since he isn't in much classes as he was before, she hopes that there wasn't going to be much lectures in school like at home but he always finds a way. At this rate, Riley could be home-schooled.
Riley took a deep breath, the first thing her eyes glanced over was Smackle and she was clutching onto Farkle awkwardly like always. She had to admit, they were cute and that's the only thing she'd be upset about with Smackle really. Farkle still had a piece of Riley's heart so, everyday of Farkle were days of suffering.
She made her in and met her new hallways, they're were big, she had to admit. She went to her assigned locker and stuck her second copy of her timetable inside her locker. She then proceeded in emptying all her text books in her locker, 15% of her stress was relieved. She was surprised that she, herself was this organized. Yes, she fell a couple of times but she could handle a few laughs from people.
DING!
The bell rang, Riley's eyes adverted from her Converse shoes onto the end of the hallway where everyone rushed. She made her way to her first class, Science.
"YAyyy," Farkle said to Riley.
Riley gave him a small smile before paying attention to their teacher now stood in front of their class. She copied notes upon notes, she daydream for a split second but then came another pile of notes. Farkle couldn't keep up, he then leaned in and whispered.
"Riley, chill. This is the first class and you've already written down two pages, I've only gotten to a page and a half," Farkle said with an alarmed expression, Riley shrugged.
"He only called out the topics..." Farkle told her and she sighed with a tired smile.
"Your point?" Riley tested him receiving a glare from Farkle but that only lasted a few seconds.
DING!
She had a few more subjects ahead and now was lunch. Riley took her skateboard with her and proceeded in sitting outside by a tree, she then took a bite out of her apple and continued reading her 'The Fault In Our Stars' book, she's read this three times and she still gets sad at the ending. While taking the last bite of her apple she was alerted by an unfamiliar voice.
"John Green," the boy said taking a seat next to her on the grass.
"You are right, Sherlock" she says with a small smile at the boy.
"Lucas," he told her his name and they shook hands.
"Riley."
"Why are yo-" Lucas wanted to continue but she wanted it differently.
"What are you doing? What made you think about approaching me?" Riley questioned with no fear and Lucas almost forgot to take a breath in those few seconds.
"I...With all honesty, my friends told me, 'You should talk to that girl over there' if I'm so brave and I'm here," Lucas Friar told Riley the truth and even though she was use to it, it hurt a little bit.
"Do you know why?" she asked the boy with the charming smile, he shook his head.
"I'm the weird clumsy girl with a big smile," she told him while keeping her finger in between the pages of her book to bookmark it.
