In the beginning she was lost
A wallflower with no anchor to hold onto
She saw no reason for anything on earth
She only saw the innocent creatures ravaged
By the monsters that made her fear for innocence
Life had no purpose, no greater cause
Then she met her greatest challenge;
To overcome these beliefs for good
She tried, pushing with all her might
Yet the mountain was too great for her alone
Slowly, too slowly for her to notice at first
Others came to her aide.
To her they were her guardian angles
The only ones to ever see she needed help
However there was a price, and she paid
The excitement wore off and she saw the truth
They were no angles but wolves in sheep's skin
And again she was falling
This time her fall was so great that she believed it was the end
Their betrayal had to be the final nail in her coffin
She lay there lonely and cold, not willing to begin again
As she closed her eyes a blinding light shone on her
The way to salvation that she had been desperate for-
Hope, the emotion she feared above all began to bloom
Ensnaring her being
She stood up and began to walk
For days and years or maybe seconds
All that mattered was that she would not stop
And as her steps quickened, her spirit felt free
For the first time she alone was taking charge-
That was not to last, as she looked behind her
And saw her demons chasing her
Trying to bring back their trophy into the dark abyss
But she believed herself stronger than them
Stronger than all of God's damned creatures
And as she neared her destination she thought she had won
She entered that blinding light with an open heart
Wanting to see what positivity felt like
But what she didn't know was that nothing is what is seems;
Life is a hell with short diversions in-between
This heaven she thought she found was only a mirage-
The demons began to crackle
Taunting her, and at that moment she realised
The world is a cruel place and emotions are unwelcome
You either become cruel or you die
And she made her choice
She locked her emotions into a box and threw out the key
She walked to the demons with a grin on her face
She was now one of them
And together they would convert another innocent.
