15. Tragedy

"Amber! Niklaus!" Elijah whispered as he searched through the tunnels.

He had to go through many vampire guards, all of them dead. Elijah felt a disturbance; he couldn't describe but he knew the ones he loved were in trouble and that he needed to save them. The Six were smart though, they knew he was here and they had a surprise in store for all of them.

"Amber!" Elijah tried again. "Niklaus!"

Klaus' head snapped up and he went to wake up Amber from the other cell.

"Elijah we're in here," He called out to his brother.

Elijah quickly rushed to where he heard Klaus' voice. Amber woke up just in time to see Elijah and she smiled for the first time in a while.

"Elijah!" She said slowly standing up. "Yo – you're here."

"I sensed you two were in trouble. Now, before The Six–" Elijah stops as his head is snapped and he falls to the floor.

Amber lets out a gasp and Klaus ran to the bars holding him in. Two members of The Six appeared behind him. Nobody could tell their expressions on their faces as they had no face. It was just a black void.

"How dare you try and escape us," One of them shouted. "Now, you'll come with us."

The other one blew black dust and soon Amber and Klaus breathed it in and passed out.

Amber awoke tied to a pole; Klaus on the other side of it. The room was pretty dark, only a few lanterns lighting the room. Elijah was tied up against the wall, looking at Amber. The Six came in with someone else, and that someone else was Vincent Rose.

"Let go of me!" He yelled thrashing in their grips.

"Dad!" Amber screeched trying to get out of the rope tied around her.

"Amber...you're alive," He said making eye contact with his daughter. It was like he finally found the missing puzzle piece to his life, Vincent finally saw the light again. "What have you done to her?"

"Many things that caused her pain," One of them said. "Now, we'll cause you pain."

They threw Vincent to the ground and chained him up. One of them took a blade and sliced his back.

"NO!" Amber screamed tears already falling out of her eyes.

Klaus tried to hold Amber's hand, but the vervain ropes were making him struggle. The Six continued to slash at Vincent's back, causing him and Amber more pain.

"This is so your daughter gets weak," The one with the blade said. "And she won't be able to stop us."

Klaus gave up on trying to hold her hand, "Amber you listen to my voice okay? Just focus on my voice, alright? Everything will be alright."

"No it won't," The cloaked figure said. "Because as of right now, Amber Rose will be useless."

The blade then stabbed into Vincent's chest, right where his heart was. Amber screamed loudly as tears poured down her cheeks. She finally managed to undo the ropes around her wrists and crawl over to her father.

"Dad!" She cried out putting his head into his lap. "Let – let me save you."

"Don't," He whispered. "They want you to drain your energy to save me. Klaus needs you, Elijah needs you, Will needs you, I need you. I need you to be strong. Amber honey, I let the dark side consume me and it made me act like I hated you. Darling, I love you so much. You became such a grownup and I couldn't he more proud of you. Just – Just let me go peacefully..."

His words trailed off as Vincent closed his eyes and let death take over him.

"Dad?" She cupped his face. "I – I can't lose you. I didn't get to say goodbye! Dad! Dad!"

Klaus and Elijah sat there looking at a broken Amber, they wanted to desperately help her, but they couldn't.

The Six took Vincent's body away from Amber. All of a sudden this rage took over her body, it was like she wanted to kill anything in her path. Amber stood up and screamed, screamed so loudly the lanterns shattered into pieces. As she was screaming memories of her and Klaus passed through her mind. The moment she met him, the moment they first kissed, the moment they first said 'I love you', the moment they made love. Every single memory of her and Klaus made it's way into her mind.

Amber stopped screaming and looked back at Elijah. She quickly undid his ropes and hugged him.

"Thank you for coming back," She said.

"You're welcome."

Amber then made her way over to Klaus and undid his ropes.

"Amber I am so sorry about your–" His sentence was cut off by her lips on his.

Klaus missed kissing Amber so freaking much. Her lips moved against his and Klaus held her so close. He was so in love with this girl it was intoxicating. Amber pulled away and gave a faint smile to Klaus.

"I remember," She tells him.

"Remember what?"

"Us, Klaus. I remember us. And I know that I am so in love with you, and I'm ready to beat The Six's ass."

AMBER REMEMBERED YAYAYAYAYY. I didn't plan to have her remember this chapter, but I decided last minute to do it. The Six have done too much damage to her and it's time Klaus and Amber defeat them once and for all.
