"What's going on in here?" A voice said. Everyone turned to see a man with spiky orange hair and piercings walk in. The man looked at Rikku and his eyes widened. "Rikku" said the man. "How do you know my name?" Said Rikku. The man looked over to Konan in confusion. Konan walked towards him and whispered something in his ear before facing Rikku. "Rikku, I would like to introduce you to your father. Pein" said Konan.

~~Rikku pov~~
"What did you just say?" I said. "I'm your father Rikku" replied Pein. I was frozen in place. 'How could this man be my father. Where has he been all my life? Does he know about mom? Why did he leave me like that.' Were the thoughts racing through my head. My emotions that I kept sealed me started to resurface. The strongest emotions, my sadness, rage, fear, hatred wanted to resurface the most. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Pein.
"Stay away from me" I said coldly while brushing off Pein's hand. "Rikku..." Said Pein. "If you are my father then where have you been all my life?" I asked. "I didn't want to place your life in danger by having you here. You were fine with your mother." said Pein causing my to chuckle slightly "You really don't know do you? Mom died during the Ballad clan massacre ten years ago." Pein and Konan's eyes were wide. "Rhea is dead." said Pein trying to process what I just said. I nodded "Yeah mom died, and I was all alone. So tell me, how was it for the best?" I said. "Rikku... I didn't know." said Pein. "Didn't know what? That my entire family was killed right in front of me? That there were assasination attempts on my life? That I was blamed for everything that went wrong in my village? That I was their scapegoat? That I was called a demon, freak, monster? That I had to suppress most of my emotions to keep my sanity?" At the last part I was screaming.
I felt arms wrap around me. I tried to pull away to no avail. "Leave me alone." I said shakily. The arms around me only tightened forcing my face into the person's chest. After a few seconds I felt the fabric around my face get wet. 'Am I... crying?' I thought and realized I was. "It's alright. Let it out, un." I heard someone say. I felt them rub my back and I started to relax my muscles before slowly closing my eyes and fading into the darkness.
~~Deidara pov~~
At the end of Rikku's rant I was in shock. 'How could people do that?' I thought. My body sort of moved on it's own. Next thing I knew I was hugging her. "Leave me alone." I heard Rikku say shakily making me tighten my arms around her. I felt my shirt getting wet and I realized that Rikku was crying. "It's alright. Let it out, un" I said to Rikku and began rubbing her back. After awhile I felt Rikku go still in my arms. 'She must have fallen asleep' I thought before slowly lifting Rikku up so I was carrying her bridal style. "I'll go bring her to my room, un" I said to Konan who nodded.
I walked to my room and placed her on my bed. That's when I got a good look at her. Her black hair framed her pale face. Up close she was really quite beautiful. I brushed a piece of black hair from her face before placing the covers over her and began to wait.
~~Third person pov~~
Deidara left the room with Rikku. It was awhile before Hidan broke the silence. "You fucked up big time." said Hidan. "Everyone get back to whatever you were doing." said Konan. The other Akatsuki members (not including Deidara since he already left, Konan, and Pein) left the room.
Konan looked to Pein, "You messed up big Pein." "I know." He said before slumping down into a chair. "How will I ever make it up to her?" He asked himself. Konan sighed, "The best thing to do now is to be there for her." Pein shook his head, "If only it were that easy."
