"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
The words ring through the empty gym and his icy eyes met my warm ones with a magnetic force.
"You, from middle school, uh I don't know your name.."
"I'm Hinata Shōyō and i'm gonna make you remember it!"
*ugh the cheeseyness - v*
After our conflicts and many weeks of training Kageyama and I had gotten past the middle school match, well.. Kageyama had.
I still felt the pain and rage he caused me and still hurt. I'm not good at anything apart from being a decoy and what good is that with an invincible ace, a genius setter, a justly smug blocker, the 'guardian deity' and the incredible captain that ties them all together perfectly. 'Decoy' doesn't fit in there and never will.
"Hinata, wake up."
Kageyama snapped me out if my dejected thoughts and alerted me to the 3 by 3 match we'd started. The teams where as such: Kageyama, Daichi-san and me vs. Tsukki, Tanaka and Suga-san.
Me and Kageyama tried our freak quick again. At this point it just seemed like I was his pawn to move and be used as the 'King' wanted- i'm definitely not bitter, not at all. I ran to where Tsukki wasn't, with my face screwed up and eyes closed, i jumped as high as i could and swung as hard as possible and felt the satisfying weight of a volleyball in my hand and the thud of it hitting the court floor. My heart raced and a exhilarated scream left my lips, I turned, beaming and made eye contact with Kageyama who was visibly high-spirited from the staggering spike we'd stumbled upon.
As much as i hated it, me and Kageyama really where a good team and our quick really worked. This frustrated me to hell and back, but not as much as the fact that Kageyama had changed; as Kindaichi from Aobajōsai and Kageyama's middle school pointed out, Tobio used 'we' rather than 'i' and that creeped me out, even though he still acted like a dick towards me, he seemed a better team player recently.
"Oi dumbass, you need to start mopping." Kageyama had already lost interest in me and had returned to mopping when i heard Suga-san mutter:
"Such a tsundere.." Even though that implied that Kageyama had feelings other that hate and i doubted that, but the thought lingered in my head..
"Hey Hinata, can you wait for me after- i need to talk to you."
Oh god. What the hell can that be?! He's going to kill me. Or he might kidnap me! No of course not, kidnap is ridiculous, murder however is not so ridiculous when it came to Kageyama..
-----------------------------------ANOTHER AUTHORS NOTE WHOOOPPS: i have been procrastinating and kinda lost faith in the storyline of this story BUT I SHALL POWER THROUGH, Millie (or edsandproud on wattpad CHECK OUT HER INCREDIBLE AOT/SNK FANFIC I CRI EVERYTIME) has really pushed me and supported me so thank you Millie❤️
I also feel like there's wayy to much internal monologue but i don't want to retell the whole of season 1 at the same time;-;
I feel like i've used half the world's supply of commas in this chapter alone. Oh dear
