Charlie's P.O.V.

Everything was black. The darkness surrounded me, held me. It pulled me further and further into the depths of nothing, muffling the screams that dared to escape my mouth. As I fell deeper into the abyss, my breathing became labored and my mind became scattered. I began to panic, wondering when I would exit this rabbit hole. I reached out in hopes of feeling something familiar. Instead I saw the one thing that I have tried so hard to forget. I saw a man standing in the middle of the road. His brown eyes shown brightly as smile lines appeared on either sides of his face. I reach out to him, I call to him but he doesn't see me. I scream as loud as I can and still he cannot hear me. He reaches out and I try to grab his hand, but he turns away and looks to his left. His eyes are filled with fear as the car approached faster and faster. He stands up and tries to run but his feet are stuck. He calls for help, but no one comes. The car comes closer and he finally sees me. He looks at me with disgust and says the words that I tell myself every day. "It's all your fault" he says with disappointment before being crushed by the unsuspecting vehicle. "Nooo!" I cry out as tears stream down my face. I collapse to the ground saying the one thing I wish he could hear. "I'm so sorry".

I woke up to someone knocking on my window. I groaned loudly and shifted in my bed knowing very well who stood outside my room. I tried to ignore the incessant tapping but the culprit showed no signs in stopping. I reluctantly got out of bed and practically dragged myself to the window, groaning in defeat. Once there, I opened the curtains to see a very bright eyed, six foot Australian grinning at me. I opened the window as he jumped through the opening with ease.

"Morning sunshine" he says with a smirk.

I roll my eyes trying to cover the smile that was slowly appearing. Before I can return to my beautiful mattress, he steps in front of me and smiles devilishly.

"Ashton, what are you doing? I'm freaking tired" I say, pushing his chest lightly. He laughs at my failed attempt and pulls me closer to him, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"C'mon Char, I didn't even get a proper good morning!" He whines.

I sigh, knowing he won't let me go until I hug him back. He wraps his arms around my waist as I snuggle into his chest. He kisses the top of my head and walks me back towards the bed. We both lie down, as I instinctively rest my head on his chest.

"Did you have the dream again?" He asks, while playing with my hair.

"Yes" I say quietly, hoping he didn't hear but I know he did.

"It's ok, Charlie" he says, pulling me closer. "It's gonna be ok"
