I started to pack my backpack. I ran down stairs and put in a bunch of food. I walked outside. I thought 'Am I really doing this?' I guess I was. So I started for the bus. I asked the man "One ticket please" he said "And how old are you?" "18"I lied. It was believable because I've always been enormously tall. When he asked for my drivers license I told him that I didn't have one yet. I showed him my permit and told him that my license was coming in 4 weeks. When I get on the bus I see a 18 year old girl. She had blond hair and red cheeks. She was my sister! "Get away from her! Lola, run!" The girl struggled to get out of the seat. She broke free and hugged me tighter than ever before. "Oh my god, April. I thought I would never see you again!" She yelled. "Where have you been all these years? I .thought you were dead!" I shouted. We ran off the bus, but first I asked the man for my money back. We ran home and I told mom everything. This is what happened to Lola:
Our family had taken a trip to A city in Ohio before we moved. May and I were 10, and Lola was 13. So it's at night and we were walking through the city when we heard a scream. We turned around and Lola was gone. The woman who took her abused her all day all night. She made her do work and if she stopped for a moment she would be whipped in the back.
