Easter Sunday observance of Passover
Easter the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding His victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to Him by faith ( Romans 6: 6 )
" The New Testament states that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter is celebrated the foundation of Christian faith, the resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness."
Matthew 12:40
For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
God used the timing, which occurred just after "Passover" and during the Feast of Unleavened Bread , to illustrate the ultimate sacrifice He made for sinners.
The Passover commemorates God's
" Passing Over" the Hebrew's homes by the Angel of death ( Exodus 12: 29 )
By accepting Jesus, we are promised eternal life and we are saved from spiritual death.
Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection are God's provision for the perfect and final sacrifice for man's sins.
