Mason's POV ~ 5 yrs later~
"GATHER ROUND!" Mr. Jackson yelled. The whole band ran and circled around him and the pit. "Okay, good practice everyone. Now, don't forget, we play against the Tigers tomorrow, so be back here at the school at 5 so we can do pre-game and the show. We are also doing full uniforms so don't forget to wear black shirts and long black socks!" He said. We formed a circle and did our cheer, "I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!" We screamed. We all grabbed our water bottles and instruments and headed in, sadly, at the same time the football team was. As I went in the band room, I talked to Brandon.
"Hey let's go get some ice cream, yeah?" He asked.
"Sure." I put my flute away and grabbed my bag and as Brandon and I  walked to his car, I felt a sharp pain in my back leg. I fell to the ground and got kicked in the side. I tried to get up but got kicked in the stomach. Then they pulled me up by my hair. I came face to face with Shawn Mendes, he has bullied me for 5 years.
"Why don't you stop being ugly?" He spits in my face and leaves.

I ended up skipping ice cream with Brandon and Adrianna. I went home and took off my shirt, examining my bruises. I took a shower did the usual routine. I got out a laid in bed and started to cry. Carter,  JC's sister (aka my best friend) came in my room. She hugged me and said she was sorry. "You didn't do it did you" She said as she rolled up my sleeve "no" I responded. I have been doing self-harm since I was 13, that's when the bullying got worse. She laid down by me and we just talked for the rest of the night.

~morning~
I woke up to Kiss me Kiss me by 5sos playing. I untangled myself from Carter and walked to the bathroom. I nearly screamed when I saw myself. My make up was all over my face and my hair was all messy. I jumped in the shower and did my usual routine. I got out and picked out an outfit which was a blue PINK shirt and black leggings. Carter was up by now and eating breakfast.

I walked downstairs and grabbed some fruity pebbles. And sat down at the bar with Car. We were talking about every thing from her crush Calum (he was an exchange student from Australia) to Miss. Jennings class. Miss. Jennings was a short old women and was always strict. She taught English for 12th grade which is what grade we are in.

Kian came down the stairs with hazel following him. He stopped and looked at me confused " Um why is your hair still blue?" He asked "Crap I forgot to die it back last night" I said. You see for our marching band we are not allowed to have colored hair so when band season starts I die it back to my natural brown color. "It's fine what time do you have to be back at the school?" "5" "okay we have time to die it" he said and kissed my head as I headed to the bus stop. Carter rode different school bus.

I got on my bus and sat in the very back and but my earbuds in. We must be getting new kids because we took a different route. I close my eyes and listen to my Marina and the diamonds. I'm almost asleep when there is a tap on my shoulder. I look up and take an earbud out and saw this kid standing there. I think his name was Aaron or something like that "can I sit here?" He asked "sure I replied and moved my books. Someone sat in front of me they had brown hair but that's all I knew. I put my earbuds in and felt another tap on my shoulder. I took my earbud out again" yes?" I asked "could you turn your music down I'm trying to talk" Aaron said politely "yea sorry" I replied. Then something clicked in my brain Aaron was Shawn foster brother, so therefor. Oh My Fucking God shawn was sitting in front of me I untied my hair and put it around my face to make sure shawn couldn't see me.

We got to school. An we were getting off the bus I was pushed off the steps. I hit the ground and groaned in pain as the heel of my hand hit the ground. I'm almost positive that it's spranged. I got up and then got pulled back into someone. "Meet me behind the school at lunch you don't have to gain anymore weight anyway" he whispers in my ear. I walk in to the school and meet up with Adrianna and Bryanne.

" hey guys I Have to go to to Miss. Jennings room to make up a test" I said as we walk to the lunch room. "Ok good luck" Jared said. I said bye to everyone and walked to the back of the school.

When I got to the back by the dumpsters I saw Shawn,Matt, Taylor , and Carter R. Shawn walks toward me "oh your little friends didn't stop you from coming" " no I told them I had a test" I replied "smart girl" he said as I rolled my eyes. "Oh so now we are getting sassy" said matt smirking "well I am pretty sassy" matt came at me but Carter held him back.

-Shawn POV -

Lauren told me that mason was picking on her again and told me to teach her a lesson. So that's what we were going to do. "Why are you just staring at me" her small voice with a hint of sass said "watch it mason" taylor said. I walk up to her and said "u shouldn't mess with laur" "what?" She said confused. "You know what you did" I yelled and slammed her against the wall. She groaned in pain and rolled to the side as taylor picked her up by the hair. Matt slapped her in the face repeatedly. Carter was punching her in the stomach. When they stopped I picked her up off the ground by the shoulders of her shirt and slammed her against the wall repeatedly until I heard a crack I smirked as the bell rang. Her glasses were on the ground and I saw carter step on them as matt through her bright blue backpack in the dumpster.

As we walked in we ran into Aaron. "Hey where were at lunch? " "we had business to take care of" matt said "oh ok" and he walked away with his friends Nash and Cameron.

Aarons POV.

I knew what shawn was doing I saw it happen. "Follow me guys" I said. We walk to the back of the school. I saw mason laying there. Her nose was bleeding and she had bruises all over her. I picked her up will nash and cam got her book bag and broken glasses.

We got into cams yellow and black mustang and took off to my house.

-skip car ride-

Mason was still out as we got to my house . "Aaron why are- oh my" my mom said when she saw mason. "Get the table cleared and put her there" Mom instructed. We cleared the table and placed her on it. Mom came in with a med box. She started to clean her up.

When she was all cleaned up mom told me to take her up stairs.

It was around 3 and I was laying with her playing with her blue/green hair. She wakes up and yawns. Then her eyes get wide. "What time is it" She asked panic in her voice "3:45" "shit shit shit" She kept say over and over again as she tied her vans. "Aaron can you give me a ride" "sure" we walk out of my room "shawn I'm taking the jeep" I yelled "you will not step on inch into my baby" he said running down the stairs with a pair of grey joggers and a maroon VANS sweater. He saw me and rolled his eyes.

I gave him directions to my house and as I got out I fell to the ground because of my leg were I got kick. I heard shawn snicker than and slap and wine. Aaron got out and helped my into my house. "Do u have any paper?" He asked yea give me a moment". I walked back in with paper and a pen. He wrote something then said by and left.

The note read:
