Chapter 9

Fiona

1 week later

Fiona layed in Bed on top of derrick playing with his fingers "mhm i had a good time last night"

"Me too maybe we can do it again" derrick said very calmly.

Fiona has been sleeping with derrick for about a week now, eventhough he is her daughter principle she really don't care.

Derrick phone began to vibrate and he picked it up and looked down at it.

"Who is that?" Fiona asked with an attitude as if they were a couple, which they were not.

"Um dont worry about it i got to go" He said while he got out the bed and began to put on his clothes.

"When will I see you again," Fiona said as she got up and walked over to him , as she heard vibration again. This time it was her phone .

Fiona picked it up and got mad, seeing that it was August calling her again. August been calling her for the past week complaining how Audrey had gotten in trouble at school. 

Derrick Had been informed Fiona about what had happened at school, but Fiona feels like August needs to step up and handle the situation himself , he is her father and Fiona been dealing with this for the past 10 years and she's tired of doing it all by herself .

"Who was that babe," Derrick asked as he brushed his hair in the mirror. 

"Just August calling again. He needs to learn how to take care of a child by his damn self. He got  like 30 of 'em by That skinny bitch but he act like he don't know how to take care of Audrey. I hate that man," Fiona said as she put her head down.

Derrick hugged Fiona and kissed her forehead. " I got to go but I will Call You Tonight,"

Audrey sat in her room looking out of the window sad. She has been calling her mother over and over again , but her mother just doesn't want to pick up the phone. 

Audrey exited her room and walked down the stairs making her way to the kitchen , as she whipped her final tears away.

"What's wrong with you?" 

Audrey looked up to see Alice sitting at the kitchen table with a pack of  fruit snacks in her hand .

"Why you all up In my business? I know you want to laugh at me, So don't even try to act nice." Audrey replied back.

"Im not trying, If You need someone to talk to you, Im always available." Alice said

" I guess it would be nice to talk to someone," Audrey said out loud.

" You wanna walk to the park, Thats what I do when ever I'm upset,"

Audrey stay they're thinking for a moment but finally agreed and they headed out of the door. 

As they were walking to the park , they made small talk and Audrey had told Alice about her situation. Alice for once was not rude  to Audrey and Audrey for once was not rude to Alice . 

Alice and Audrey finally made it to the park, no one was there but a grown man and lady, That they assumed was a couple .

" You wanna go on the sw-" before Alice could finish speaking she was cut off by a car swerving next to the park and a man jumping out of the passenger seat with a gun in his hand. 

The two girls sat there not knowing what to do. The man that jumped out of the car walked over to the other man, that was with the lady , and shot him.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The lady screamed but the man walked over to her and smacked her in her head with the back of the gun. The man that had just got shot was shaking on the floor. 

"PAY UP YO' MONEY BEFORE NEXT WEEK PUNK" The man with the gun spoke before kicking the man on the floor in the stomach. 

The man with the gun looked and notice the two little girl. "Run," Alice said as she grabbed Audrey. Audrey and the man made eye contact but it was soon broken by Alice pulling on Audrey shirt.

The two girls ran for there lives and heard one more gun shot.

POW 

They didn't know if the gun shot was aimed for them but Audrey nearly peed on herself while she was running as fast as she could. 

Audrey soon got tired and stopped running, Alice looked back at her , " Come on We can't stop right now, What If he's coming after us." 

" I'm scared and I'm tired , I can't breath." Audrey said while holding her chest.

" Were almost to our house come on." Alice states.

"Our house? You mean your house." 

Alice signed ," Come on, I ain't got time for your smart mouth. Now let's go."

The two of them started running again until they got to there block and stopped again . This time because they seen two police cars at there house. 

"What is going on, you think the police seen us at the park, we're going to get locked up. I can't go to jail," Audrey says.

"I don't know, what's going on. Stop complaining like a baby ,but If this is about the shooting don't say anything to nobody . You hear me, don't say a word." Alice replied while Audrey was standing there quietly.

" Do You hear me ?" Alice says a little louder .

"Yes, I hear you." Audrey says scared .

They began to walk towards the house. Brielle was busy talking to the police officer, but flew down the steps once she seen the kids arriving. 

Brielle ran to go hug Alice ," Dont ever leave this house with out telling me or your father ." 

"Are these the two that were missing , " The officer said.

"Yes thanks ma'm" Brielle said.

The other officer got out of the car and said to the other officer ," There's been a shooting at a park near here , We Have to go" 

As soon as Audrey heard those words, her heart was racing and she began to breath heavy. Images of the man shooting the man and knocking the lady out began to flood in her head and those dark brown eyes .

Audrey ran inside the house, while the officer hopped inside of there cars and were soon gone.

Audrey ran up to her room and began to cry, just like how she did earlier that day, but this time for another reason.
