The Big Plan

I am so ready to fuck up everyones day, and I know exactly who will help me, my brother. I get out of bed and go to his room.

"How do you feel about pissing off everyone ever?"

"Sounds great, what's the plan?"

"I'm gonna marry my slave"

His previously entertained look fades.
Replaced by something deeply concerned.

"Theres something you really don't know, sis" he takes a deep breath, "back in the day, mom wanted to do the same thing"

I tell him theres no way thats true.

He explains that when my mother was to be queen, she was having a relationship with one of her many slaves. The thing is, the slave just wanted to escape. She forced the slave to sleep with her and planned to marry, she thought she was in love. The thing is, no one, even a slave, can be forced to marry. She couldn't force him to say "i do". On the day they were to be married, he was asked if he would take her as his lawfully wedded wife, he said, "I'd rather die", and so he was excecuted.

Salem goes on, "So unless you want mom to be really jealous and mad, i really wouldn't go there"

"She's a fucking tyrant though, and as soon as I'm in power, theres nothing she can do to punish me, she'll be under my rule"

"Think of the scandal, Snow" He sighs, "this is a carefully kept secret, who knows what would come out from under the rug if this happened. You don't know what you're getting into" He looks down at his watch, "I have to go, don't do amything you'll regret"

He leaves the room.

I return to my room, feeling absolutely befuddled. I knew my mom sucked, but Jesus Christ.

My devious plans to shock the public had never put so much at stake before. I still couldn't help but think, it would be so simple to marry Dimitri. We could remain friends and he wouldn't care if I took lovers, and best of all, I wouldn't have to own a human being anymore, he'd be free to do as he pleases.

But is it worth how my mom could react?
