A new day ! A new start ! I smiled admiring my petite self in the cheval standing mirror standing in front of me . I was wearing a short white skirt with a net white blouse and white flats . What can I say ? I was just really into white, peace and love I guess like ways heavy makeup was something I didn't really considered so a layer of mascara, light pink blush and two coats of nude lipstick were more than enough for me.
"Jenn baby , you're gonna be late". My mom called from downstairs making me snap out of my trance . Rushing downstairs I picked an apple and a soda can from the table , kissed mom on the cheek and walked towards the porch .
"Take care baby girl . Make it your best". And although I was like so god damn nervous I just laughed and waved her ." Ofcourse I would mommy " I mumbled politely just so she wouldn't get worried.
The college was a 20 to 30 minute drive from my house and I was nervous as hell , how would be the kids , the staff , the management , would I be able to make it and ect I hope for the best though . I turned the radio on . Music !! It always calmed my brain .
'Long way home' from 5 seconds of summer started ,these boys !!! Oh my god nothing could describe my love for them , there songs always inspired me , gave me confidence and something so unusual I just lost myself . Weird ? It so is . I ain't a teenager anymore but unlike most people say I'm still obsessed like really really obsessed with them.
The streets were shockingly empty and me being me I was so engulfed by the music that I actually missed the red light , mouthing a sorry to the traffic police who was literally glaring at me I drove off and was soon standing before a huge and magnificent building called UNLV . University of Nevada , Las Vegas . I just couldn't believe my eyes this -this was incredible just like some beautiful dream come true it was like thrice the size of my house which let me just say was pretty much big . I cant even believe they took me in I - I - I was seriously spell bounded I don't know maybe it was just too much to take in .
The beep of my phone pulled me out of my thoughts it was mom again . I smiled she cared too much for me and even though she married after the death of my beloved daddy, I didn't feel a single ounce of anger or hatred towards her , she had the right to move on anyway she was just like 30 at that time I cant expect her to lead the rest of her life alone now , do I ? That'd be a bit unfair according to me . I picked the phone. " Baby doll , are you there yet ? Her soft voice came ." Yeah mom ! I'm just here admiring the view before me ."I chuckled " Jennifer its like one minute left before the class starts ! Why don't you watch the time ? " She says anger clear in her tone . " Do not tell me ." My eyes widen. " OK mom, im gonna hang up bye ! " I say rushing towards the glass doors .
