Quiet sobs wake me in the middle of the night.
"Kenny?" I lean down to look under my bed.
He wipes his eyes. "W-What's up Craig?"
"You were crying."
"Oh. Don't worry about me." He pulls my guinea pig shirt up past his nose.
"Don't worry about you?! You're obviously upset, why wouldn't I worry?" I whisper-yell.
"I just woke up from a bad dream." He lies. Tears start leaking out of his eyes.
I slip out of my covers and crawl under the bed with Kenny. I rest one arm on his side and the other under his neck. "I care about you, remember?"
Kenny starts sobbing into my chest and I hold him tighter. I whisper; "what's wrong, dude?"
He sniffs, I can't tell if he's smelling me or it's because he's crying.
"W-Well the other d-day my M-Mom and Dad were f-fighting and Kevin got in t-the m-middle of it and they h-hurt him! K-Karen and I r-ran into my r-room and I d-don't know if t-they did anything e-else to him because he d-didn't c-come i-into my room for another twenty minutes." The tears are pouring out of Kenny's eyes now, it's hard to understand him.
"It's okay now, Kenny. I bet Karen is asleep and having a really happy dream and Kevin is protecting her, and they're both okay." I lay my cheek against his head and pull him closer to me.
He doesn't respond, he just hugs me tighter.

My body's stiff from laying on the floor all night. Kenny's still clinging to my nightshirt. I wake him up.
"Let go of me faggot."
Hurt flashes across his eyes and I immediately regret what I said. "Sorry. I didn't mean that."
"It's alright, dude." He bites his lip, as if deciding what to say next. "Did you mean what you said last night?"
"Huh?"
"About caring about me?" Kenny looks at me with those big blue watery eyes.
"Of course I did."
"Thank you, Craig."
A smile creeps across my face.
He raises an eyebrow. "What are you smiling at?"
"You. You're so cute."
My face is almost as red as his is. Did I really just say that?
"I'm cute?" The blonde smirks.
"No. Yes. Fuck." I turn away from him.
Kenny leans forwards, putting both hands on the sides of my hips. His stomach just above my crotch. He plants his lips on my left cheek, then kisses three to the right. I wish the kiss would start again as soon as it's over.
"I think you're quite cute yourself, Tucker."

Monday. Bus stop. Clyde being annoying. Token being a mom. Tweek nowhere to be found.
"So what's it feel like to finally be 11?" Clyde asks another question.
"Not that much fucking different from being 10." I answer.
"Two more years and we'll be teenagers, Craig. We won't have to sneak into PG-13 movies anymore." Clyde breathes, staring dreamily at the sky.
"Leave him alone, Clyde." Token pulls the brunette away. "You're obviously annoying the hell out of him."
"He's always annoyed."
"Shut up, Clyde." Tweek growls, appearing next to me.
"Dude, where have you been all morning?" I ask, focusing my attention on him.
"Coffee bean shipment came in." He mutters.
The bus comes screeching down the street. Clyde says something as we get on, but I can't hear it over these loud motherfucking kids. Kenny waves me over to sit next to him.
"Hey McCormick."
"Hi Craig!" He chirps. "This weekend was fun."
"Yeah, I guess it was." I say, actually meaning it.
"It's super comfortable under your bed." Kenny smirks.
"Thanks for the information." I laugh at the random fact.
"It's true!"
Awkward silence.
"Craig?"
"I'm still here, Kenny."
"Well, of course you are. We're on a moving bus. There's no where you could've gone."
"For fucks sake dude, just say what you want to say."
"Uh." He turns away from me and rubs the back of his neck.
Before the blonde can continue, the bus comes to a screeching halt.
"I'll tell you later, I guess."
I begin to put my backpack on, when Kenny grabs my shirtsleeve and kisses my cheek.
Kenny hops off the bus and joins his friends.
"Damn Craig!" Clyde laughs. "You're blushing like hell!"
"I'm not blushing."
Token rolls his eyes for the umpteenth time that day. "We saw Kenny kissing you."
"You were redder than ever!" Tweek rhymes.
"You guys were watching me? Fucking stalkers." I growl.
"No. Clyde turned around to tell you something and he nearly broke my eardrums." Tweek explains.
"He started freaking out and saying things like 'i ship it', 'it's so canon oh my god', and 'i'm gonna write a fanfiction.'" Token says.
"You two are so cute!" Clyde exclaims.
"We're not dating!" I yell at the chubby kid.
"Not yet!" Clyde winks.
"Clyde don't ever wink again." Tweek demands.

Kenny whispers my name. I turn around and get hit straight in the head with a piece of paper. He buries his face in his sleeve to suppress a laugh. I flip him off and unfold the note.
Sorry about this weekend... and on the bus.
Oh yeah....
I'm really sorry. I don't regret the bus though
Kenny reaches out to pass the note to me when Mr. Garrison snatches it up.
"Don't pass notes in my class you little shits!" He shouts.
"Sorry, sir." Kenny looks down, face bright red.
"I bet the class would love to know what you two were so eager to chat about." Mr. Garrison unfolds the note and reads it outloud.
Clyde hoots.
"So what happened on the bus." Our teacher raises an eyebrow.
"Well, you see it's sort of personal. Bu-" Kenny tries to explain.
"Detention! The two of you!"
Oh fuck.
