Your POV
After about 20 minutes we saw another squad heading our way. They all looked in really bad shape. It was Aiko Aihara's squad and she had lost eight people. My eyes widened as I saw how exhausted they all looked. I ran over to them. "Are you okay?!" Aiko chuckled. "Do we look okay? But thanks for asking..." She trailed off as she looked behind her at the rest of her squad. When she turned around I looked straight into her eyes. "Aiko did you-" "Yes..." I looked down but then I looked back up and smiled at her. "I'm sure they fought bravely." She smiled back at me. "Yes they did, unfortunately bravery wasn't enough when going up against a Nobel vampire." I looked at her with sympathy in my (e/c) eyes. "Aiko I-..." She shook her head at me. "At least some of us got out alive." "Alright, well I'll let you rest for a bit with your squad." She gave me a thankful smile and then walked back over to her squad. I then made my way over to Shinoa. "How much longer until Father's squad get here?" "Well not long because here they are now." I looked over to where she was pointing and I saw my father's squad gradually making their way to us. I realized how tired and injured they were and rushed over to them. "How did it go you look pretty beaten up..." Father looked my up and down. "You don't seem to be tired or injured, how come?" "Shinoa was a good leader." Narumi chimed in. I saw Shinoa look away in embarrassment and in the corner of my I saw Aiko look down with disappointment. Father brushed past me and walked over to Aiko. "Aiko, I see you have lost eight soldiers, correct?" Aiko stood there her hands balling into fists and looking down at the ground while trying to hold in her tears. "Yes..." I heard her voice crack and I saw a single tear fall off her chin. "Please Colonel, my squad and I redeem ourselves!" Father had no expression on his face. "Sorry but I don't need soldiers that cry on the battlefield." I gritted my teeth and Aiko had wide eyes that were glassy due to the tears pouring from her eyes. Father chuckled. "I'm kidding, you have done a great service Aiko. Rest here. Y/N I would like you to stay here with them while they rest. Survey the area and make sure there isn't anymore bloodsuckers hanging around." I put my hand on Aiko's shoulder and smiled reassuringly at her. She walked back to her squad and sat down with them. "Shinoa and Narumi's squad, your coming with my squad. Our target is the Nobel vampire Crowley Eusford and his two accomplices, Horn Skuld and Chess Belle." My eyes widened. 'They don't stand a chance against them!' "Hey wait!" I tried to stop them but they were already gone. "Oh dear..." I said under my breath. Aiko gave me a questioning look. I just smiled back because I didn't need her worrying about anything else. "Well I'm going to head off and scan the area for anymore vampires. You stay here and rest with your squad for now, Okay?" Aiko nodded. "Okay..." I put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll be back soon. I won't let anything hurt you and your squad." She must have seen the determination in my eyes because she gave me a defeated smile. "Thank you. See you later I guess." And with that I sped off to find anymore vampires.
