***Natalie's POV***I pack up my final things and I say goodbye to my room. The room that has putup with my tears, joys, breakdowns, breakups, and fights for 10 years. I have gone through everything with this room. My room with my light purple walls and my white sealing. (Flourecent lights that made me look great in my selfies, may I add). I put the final of the packing tape over the box and I stack them up and carry them down the stairs and into the car. Stumbling over my shoes every once in a while.
When I get into the car I put my headphones in and I say goodbye to my house that has carried me all these years. It's not only the house, its goodbye house, goodbye friends, goodbye neighboor hood, goodbye school. Misery. I wish my parents wouldn't had divorced and nothing would change. My father abused my mother for years. My father plead guilty in court and got charged so I live with my mother now. We are moving Illinois, why couldn't we have moved to Florida? I would rather still be in California. Sitting there, tanning on my patio, hanging out with my friends, swimming.
It has been 30 hours and all I have eaten is McDonalds for 1 day straight while in the car. I have also had to sit in the car with my brother, Jaden, and my mom. Jaden is an annoying little 9 year old brother that can't keep a secret or tell the truth to save his life. Literally you cannot trust a word he says. He has blond hair (from my dad) and blue eyes (also from my dad). My mother has brown eyes and brown hair. And then there is me. Natalie Grey. I have dark curly brown hair and hazel eyes that change color. I'm a bit of a tomboy (may I add).
When we arrive I am flabbergasted. My new house is two stories tall, red brick and has a giant patio stretching around it. The house next door is exactly identical to mine. I unload my things from the van and I see the moving truck pull up behind us. I walk into my new house and it is humongous on the inside also. I walked up the huge stairs and went into my room. My room is part of the attic so it is huge. As I am unpacking I see a boy watching me through my window, his room is directly across from mine. I guess he is my neighbor. I felt weird that he was looking at me because I looked like a hobo right now, judging that I was just in a car for 30 hours. I make eye contact with him and then he fully shows his face and smirks at me. Just then I hear a knock on my front door. I go down to answer the door and I see the boy and his mom. How did he get down here that fast?
"Hey," he says leaning against the door frame smirking at me again. Seriously? Who just shows up at someone's house all smug like that and we haven't even met?! I realize he isn't going to be nice-his body language screamed it-so I have to reply back with attitude, when his mom isn't right there.
"Hi." I reply shyly.
"Hello, I'm Mrs. Rider, this is my son, Blake." His mom says to me handing me a plate of cookies.
"Thank you!" I turn away from them, "Mom!" I scream.
"What honey?" she says running down the stairs with her hair all frizzed out. As soon as she sees guests she straightens up and shakes Mrs. Rider's hand.
"Honey, why don't you and Blake come over to our house and he can show you around the neighbor hood!" Mrs. Rider offers.
"Oh I would love to," I said fakely, "but I have a lot of-" I try to finish but my mother cuts me off. I really did not want to go with Blake. I can already tell he is bad news.
"Oh sweetie, that would be great." she shoves me out the door and I fall and trip over Blake on to the patio.
"Already falling for me baby?" he smirks at me and and I give him a fake smile. At this point the moms were inside chatting amoungst themselves, not even noticing me. I get up and brush the dirt off my pants from the patio.
"No, I fell over your shoe, smart ass." I replyed wittyingly. Could he at least be a little more modest. I don't normally swear but that is an exception this one time.
"Ah sassy, that's how I like 'em." he said eyeing me up and down.
"Eyes up here, Romeo." I snap at him. He snatches a locket off my neck and I try to reach for it back but he pulls it away.
"Aye, give that back." I tell him. He starts running down the street screaming that I can't catch him. As I start running after him, I feel the wind surrounding my body as I run as fast as I can. I get a burst of speed and jump on his back and tackle him. We fall on top of each other and I'm laying on top of him. We are face to face and we are both staying there not moving. I feel my breath escaping my lips and falling onto his face, I'm glad I have mint gum in... I do not know how long we were laying there but all I knew is that I had to get up. I just met this kid what am I doing? I push up off the ground beside him and stand up.
"Um, oh my gosh I'm so sorry." I say to him tucking my hair behind my ear.
"Uh, ye- yeah, it's fine." His cheeks heat up and I laugh a little.
"What?" He asks slightly angered.
"Little Blakey blushed, awe so cute." I said teasing him. He didn't respond. Although I just met him I can tell he is a player, a f-boy, a man whore... the way he smirks and just the way he talks. He is probably bad knews.
"I gotta go- um see ya at school." he finally says.
"Yeah, see ya..." he waves at me awkwardly and walks to his house, not daring to turn back. I sit on the curb and pull out my phone. I text my friend Amelia.
Amelia - Heyyyy girl. I miss you :(
Me- I miss you too!
Amelia - How is your new house?
(I decided not to tell her about the whole Blake thing yet.)
Me - It is huge. I my room is even bigger. It is like 2 times the size of my old house.
Amelia - Damn, girl! But I gtg, lya <3
Me- Bye <3
After I say bye to Ameilia I get up to go back to my house. If you can't tell, she uses a lot of abbreviation with text. I slip my phone into my back pocket. I go to itch my chest when I don't feel anything. That's not right.
Wait, Blake still has my locket.
