A/N Okay so this is one of my first books so PLEASE let me know if its bad, good or something in between, I want the truth. I also have some good news, I will have enough time to most likely UPDATE quite OFTEN. If I don't its for a good reason.

Enjoy!

I jump awake, hearing the stairs above my room creek, I slowly get up, gently placing my feet onto the cold, worn floorboards of my bedroom. Knowing that nobody in the house would be up at this time and smelling a faint, unfamiliar smell wafting down through the cracks of my roof confirms that there is an unwanted intruder in my house. I quickly get dressed into the tight, warm clothes my mother gave me, following her instructions. She somehow knew that someone was coming for me, to harm me and then disappear into the night. She had told me to pack a bag, one big enough to carry the needed things but not so big that it would weigh me down. She had then moved me into the very well hidden secret compartment under the stairs. She told me if there was ever an intruder in the house to spray myself with a can she had handed me and that I was to go through the secret door at the back of my room. So that was exactly what I was doing now, as I quickly sprayed myself, already having the bag on I shoved the can into my jumpers left pocket and I squeezed through the tight, small door. Suddenly I was falling, I twist my body around in the air just in time to land with a 'thump' onto the cold, hard ground, making a cloud of dirt rise up around me and tickle my nose. I look up and see that I've fallen about twenty metres. I quickly start running, faster than any human could. I've been running for about an hour, in a full sprint before I finally see a sign of light ahead of me, although dull. I look down at my watch to see that its only 3 am in the morning. I'm about to step out into the moonlight when I hear a scream, very faint, one that a human could never hear. I then hear my mother mind links me. Run Rosa I can't hold them off anymore, find your father, he's in the star-. She abruptly cuts off and I know that that's the last time I will ever hear from my beloved mother again.

The sun finally starts to rise about six in the morning, once I feel its presence on my face I slow down to a jog, looking for a spot to rest, now knowing I'm safe until tonight. I look around my surroundings seeing many tall, wide trunked trees around me, they are so tall they seem like their stretching, competing with each other on who can get the highest, then exploding into a bright green at the top, trying to soak up all the sun possible, all the while keeping the ground below cool and protected. I continue walking, looking for a spot to rest for a few hours, looking to my left I see a big bush. Walking through it I look around seeing that this spot is quite hidden from anyone that would walk past, even though its day time I can never be too careful. I grab a blanket out of my bag, placing it onto the ground and lay down on it, a few minutes later I drifted off to sleep.

Grrr! I wake up hearing growls to my left. I quickly pick up my blanket and shove it into my bag. I turn to my right, about to run but I hear another growl coming from that way too. I quickly make sure my bag is all zipped up, getting ready to fight or run if I need to. Grrr! The growls are closer now, I quickly strip and shove my clothes into the bag. I shift, hearing my bones crack, feeling everything move into its place. Once I've shifted into my black and red wolf I grab my bag into my teeth and crouch low, knowing they would have heard me shift even though I was quieter than a normal wolf. As soon as I hear movement I run forwards, looking back to see that they both slammed into each other. Because I'm not looking where I'm going I trip on a tree root. I tumble all the way down a hill until I collide with a tree. Mentally groaning I find my bag that I lost when coming down the hill and start running again. I quickly look back and see the wolves right behind me. I speed up, leaving them in the dust. Suddenly I'm tackled from my left, I lock my jaw so I don't lose my bag, while shaking him off of me. I back up to a tree, so nothing can attack me from behind. Growling at the wolf I attacking him, knowing it will be difficult if I have to fight all three wolves at the same time. I faint to left and tackle him on an angle making him hit the huge rock behind him. The impact of it would kill a human but it will only knock a wolf out for three minutes-five if I'm lucky. I rub against a tree ahead of me and jump into a small puddle to my left, hoping that my quick attempt may throw them off. I run at full speed, increasing my chances that they won't find me. I jump over rocks, tree roots and dodge the trees ahead of my, passing by in a blur. I jump through a bush and straight into the territory of another pack, right into the middle of their town.

A/N Let me know if you like it! Thanks! :)
