Lloyds pov

"What do you mean 'never to be seen again'!"I say raising my voice.

"When ash pushed Kai into that portal. Everyone that has ever been in there has never came out,"hope says.

I can't believe it my boyfriend-I mean- best friend is never to be seen again? Well he did lie to me. But still he doesn't deserve this bad of a punishment!

"Is there anyway we can save him?"I ask.

Hope shakes her head 'no.' Okay thats just so freaking great. Note my sarcasm. Jerk or not kai meant everything to me and now he is just gone? You know what I'm not taking no for an answer. I love Kai and I will find him no matter what. I begin to walk towards the door. I put my hand on the door knob and hope asks,"Where are you going?"

"To find him,"I say and before she can protest I open the door and slam it behind me. Kai will be found one way or another.

After searching for hours for any hints on kai I found nothing. Absolutley nothing. Its my fault he is gone. If I was careful in that fire I wouldn't have lost my memory and none of this would have happened. I sit down on a near by bench sighing deeply.

"Something wrong?"I hear a feminine voice say.

I look up and see a girl with smooth dark blue, almost black, hair. She had paler than pale skin and piercing blue eyes. She wears a long light purple dress. The dress goes past her feet hitting the ground.

"Uh no just a rough day,"I mumble not wanting to share too much information with the staranger.

"Oh so you're not sad about kai?"she asks in a happy, but curious way. My head immediatly shoots up hearing his name.

"How do you know he is gone?"

She comes close to my ear her lip touching a little and she whispers,"I work for that ash dude a few years back and he told me. I know where kai was sent. I went there to look for him. I took him back to my place and that is where he sits..waiting,"she says.

"Waiting?"I question.

"Waiting for you, you dork."

She tells me her address and I race to her house. Finally I'll see him again, finally. I bang on the door to her apartment and it opens up after a while. Instead of seeing kai like I wanted to I see ash.

"Fell for my trick did you?"he teases.

I grit my teeth together cleching my fists. Ash snaps and two guys come out. They are carying kai who is tied to a big board with a gag in his mouth. I feel something bump on my head and soon the world went black.

When I wake up I'm tied up next to kai above a big container of what looks like water a lava (I'm over lava kai over water). Oh god he is going to kill us. What do I do? I need to do something before it is to late.

"Okay so this is how it is going to work,"ash starts,"You guys are going to listen to my every command or I will drop you. It is as simple as that."

I look over at kai and see the fear in his eyes. I hate to see him anything, but happy. I hate ash so much. I try to loosen myself from the ropes which is stupid since if I fall I fall in lava. I take a deep breath. I can get us out.

"I'll be right back,"ash says leaving the room.

Wow what an idiot. You don't ever leave a room unattenided if you are holding people hostage. I begin to sway back and forth trying to grab onto one of the ceiling bars. After a while of swaying I finally did.

I grab the ceilng bar with the hand I got free earlier. The ropes fall off we and I pull myself up on the ceiling bar. Okay now I need to climb all the way over to the control panel to save kai. I carfully crawl on the bars trying to get across the room where the control panel is.

As soon as I step foot on the conrol setup Ash walks back in. He sees me at the control panel. Oh sweet honey ice tea he is going to kill me. He presses a button on his belt and in an instant the room filled with other strong men. God dang it I was so close to escaping with no fuss.

"Get him!"Ash yells.

Well I'm going to die.

Sorry it was short, but it was a lead up chapter. The next chapter is the last chapter by the way so stay tuned. Also i finally got all the diverent books and hunger games.
