Ch 4: friends mean so much

The ride to the hospital felt like two hours even though it was on thirty minutes. And, I found myself asking if we were almost there every minute even though I knew the way. When we got to the hospital I ran to the front desk found the room number and sprinted to the room. when I reached the room I started crying when I saw Megan in the bed. She had an iv in her arm, her leg we elevated above he head as well as her arm, and she had a big bandage around her head. Not long after Tory got in the room Justin ran in, similar to Tory, with his family behind him.

When Megan was driving home from volunteering at the homeless shelter a car was driving too fast, lost control and had hit Megan. She looked terrible. The doctor told us that it would be a long time before Megan got out of the hospital. The doctor also said that it would cost a lot. Megan's parents both knew that they wouldn't be able to pay the bill. Then Tory's mom said that we would all chip in. But they feared that still wouldn't be enough. While the adults were taking about money outside the room Tory and Justin slipped in the room to see that Megan was just waking up.

"Is it pretty bad?" Megan asked in a raspy voice.

Not knowing what to say I just looked down and shook my head.

"I didn't even see him coming." Megan said with tears forming. "If only I could have seen him." this time she started balling.

"Don't blame your self, it wasn't your fault." Tory said as her and Justin moved to one side if the bed. Justin could see that Tory was getting tense so he put his arm around her and gave her a kiss on the head.

"So you guys really are together, huh?" Megan said with a small and very quite laugh.
