Chapter Five

{Jasmine POV}

I cannot describe how much I need to use the restroom right now. This is torture.

About forty-five minutes ago, Emma and I had finished the last of the granola bars that I had stashed in my clutch. I unlocked my iPhone and checked the timer that I had started ever since the plane took off.

4:31:24

For four and a half hours, I had been cramped in an over-sized suitcase with Emma. Oh, the joy. If we held our breaths and strained our hearing, we were sure we could hear the faintest mumbling sounds. It was crazy to think that we were on the same plane as the five boys, yet they had no clue of our existence. And it was crazy to think that we were crazy enough to sneak our way here.

I turned to Emma who was peeking out of the minuscule hole where the two zippers of the suitcase met.

"Do you think that we could open that a little more and get out to stretch?" I asked, hopefully.

"If we weren't so cramped, I'd say no... but I suppose we could do that," Emma replied sheepishly.

I picked at the hole until it opened enough for me to put my hand through. I operated the zipper with my hand outside of the suitcase, and within minutes I had made an opening big enough for me to climb out.

I heaved a sigh of relief as I stretched.

"Come out, Emma," I ushered, looking around the small cabin space. I heard a faint zippering sound as Emma stepped out of the suitcase, her hair tussled. I stifled a giggle as I realized that I must look the same.

She glared at me as she pressed down her hair in attempt to fix it.

"Once we land, I'm calling my parents... or else they'll send out a missing persons report," I informed Emma, counting back the hours from when the concert has finished.

At that, I started worrying about what I would tell my parents and how much trouble I'd be in and...

Well, who cares, right? It's summer vacation. I can and will do whatever I want. I don't know what started it, but my attitude has totally changed.

***One hour later***

We have half an hour until we are due to begin the descent. Emma and I have climbed back into the suitcase, more comfortably this time, and we made small talk to pass the time. She actually wasn't that bad.

I yawned and checked my timer. I checked it again because I honestly wasn't paying attention the first time.

5:43:11

I sighed and leaned my head back. It was late and I hadn't gotten any proper sleep in the past few hours.

***15 minutes later***

My eyelids began to droop and I let go of my last bits of consciousness as I felt the aircraft gracefully dip and begin to descend.
