The Game Has Not Begun!

Packing everything we could carry. Me and Midaiyo set off on a quest to find us a new home by tonight. Walking around was beginning to be a hassle we been looking for a place to stay for ages! I was starting to get tired. Dropping the bags down near a bench I sat down. "Midaiyo...let's.....take...a...break..." I said panting in between breaths. She looked at me and smiled sitting down right next to me. After a few minutes she looked at the sky and frowned. "it's gonna rain in about 40 seconds" she stated squinting up at the sky. How I thought it was a beautiful day out. But sure enough 39 seconds later. It poured, it rained like it had been storing up for years. I looked at Midaiyo and she was starting to shiver. Noticing she was getting cold I jumped up and grabbed my portion of the stuff we was carrying and hers and shrugging off my jacket and handing it to her. Expecting her to the normal girl thing and blush and say thank you. She pushed me down grabbed our stuff and threw the jacket back at me. Smirking at me she said "I'm not some little weakling ya know" and took off walking. I got up and had to run to catch up with her. Staring at her for a second she just kept looking straight ahead at nothing in particular. Finally she got fed up and looked at me and said "what?!?!". I looked down at her tiny frame and asked "isn't that stuff a little heavy?" she looked at the stuff she was holding than back at me. She started laughing extremely hard to the point where people in the street started to look over. 'who are the 2 random people walking with know umbrellas laughing' I bet they wondered. Than I remembered we didn't have umbrellas. Not wanting us to catch a cold I held my jacket over our heads to keep some of the rain away that didn't help. So just pulling over Midaiyo's head to keep the rain from hitting her. She looked up at me with a surprised expression on her face. "what?" I asked confused. She just stared at me a moment before saying "you don't need to do that, your my oshi kobi I should do that for you". Than she putting all the stuff she was caring in one arm she tried to reach for it but I just yanked it out of her reach. She was short after all. I laughed qt the expression she gave noticing the jacket wasn't in her reach anymore. Just as she was about to protest we walked into a young woman. She looked up at us through her umbrella with a shocked expression. "what are you to doing in weather like this with no umbrella" her voice taking a motherly tone. I stood there a little surprise that she would take that tone with some random people on the street. She stood there waiting for an answer. When I didn't say anything she turned to Midaiyo who simply shrugged and said "we got kicked out of our place, went looking for a new place then it suddenly started raining". The lady shot us a sympathetic look and said "if you was looking for a place you should of just said so!". Not knowing what to do we just followed after her. After about 10 minutes of walking we arrived at a inn. Kicking off our shoes and putting on some slippers as we walked in. Random woman led us up the stairs into a room in the back. "here are your rooms. There will be nothing strange happening in her got it!? And dinner will be ready in 10 minutes so get ready. I don't tolerate lateness" she said giving us a smile that said 'say something. I dare ya' just before I was gonna ask she said my name is "Nina Hidarui" and walked off. We opened the door and was shocked to see how big it was. I walked over to the fire place that was conventiantly in the corner of the room. I went over and tried to start a fire with my lighter but it didn't work. Turning around I saw Midaiyo laughing. I frowned "what's so funny?" I asked. "nothing it's just well...that fire place is electronic and starts up by flicking the switch next to it" I opened my mouth but nothing came out. She got up and walked over to the fire place and flicked the switch. The ppm instantly filled with warmth and I just wanted to fall asleep. The flames danced around for a minute. Not even noticing the the time 10 minutes flew by and we heard Nina's dinner bell. Not even noiticing how hungry we was till we hit the bottom step. My mouth started watering at the smell of fish and rice. We burst through the door to see ninja set up 6 plates. Strange considering it was only us in the house. Sitting down on the floor I waited for Nina to sit to before I ate. I noticed Midaiyo didn't eat till I took the first bite again. Strange. "so Nina where is-" I was cut off to the door being banged open see a guy and girl 2 rushing in arguing with each other. Nina sat down her cup she was drinking tea from and gave them a smile. They instantly stopped fighting. "would you 2 care to introduce yourself to our new guest". They looked over at us and I noticed Midaiyo never took her eyes off the girl and the girl never took her eyes off of me. In an instant everything changed. Midaiyo sprang up and lunged for the girl. The girl ready for this got into a ready position. Just as they were about to come into contact Nona stood up and walked in between them. In a instant they were on the floor coughing. I rushed over to Midaiyo's side while the other guy to his girl. All of us looked at Nina. She looked at all of us and gave us that creepy smile before saying "the sekirei game hasn't begun yet so there will be no fighting in my house! Get it got it good." she sat down at the table and started eating again. I looked over at Midaiyo but she was getting up and looked fine. Everyone sitting down at the table eating we all looked over at Nina when she cleared her throat and looked over at Midaiyo and said "those kinds of cloths are not allowed to be worn around the house" I blushed I had honestly forgotten what she was wearing. "my old cloths are gone and I have nothing else to wear" said Midaiyo putting some food in her mouth. Nina glanced at me which made turn a deeper shade of red before saying "you can wear my old cloths" I sighed in relief that she would have something else to wear. I was expecting to hear her say yes. But when she didn't I looked over her and she was currently having a stare off with the girl she was about to fight. I cleared my throat "so what are you names?" I asked the guy. He looked up at me and said " she's Udemi and I'm Seyo". Seyo simply nodded not taking her eyes off Midaiyo. In-between there stares they had managed to eat all there food. Once everyone was cleaned up and started to walk out the door Udemi and Midaiyo smiled at each other and said "once the game starts I would love to be your first opponent!" they said in sync. I gaped at them they where just throwing daggers at each other now there friends?!?! Once everyone said there goodnights me and Midaiyo headed off to our room. Once we went inside we was just to lazy to unpack anything so we just got 2 blankets and layed on the floor. Before I drifted off to sleep I heard Midaiyo mumble "I'll do my best to win" then a light snore. I wonder what she ment I thought as I let my consciousness slip away.
