Cool Cat and Ruben: Meek Beginnings

It's a day like any other. Ruben wrote in his diary, quickly jotting down the words as his heart beat faster and faster. I know my brother will disapprove.

His brother was named Alex but he was most famously known for his persona I Hate Everything and each time Ruben ever mentioned the name of the creature he loved: Cool Cat, his big, bushy, orange eyebrows would furrow at a downward angle even more intensely than usual and say harshly "That disaster of a movie? I don't want to hear any more about Daddy Derek or Cool cat he has caused me enough trouble."

Daddy Derek was the father of Cool cat and he was a hateful man who had made a barrier between Cool cat and Ruben. But now was not the time for wallowing in his own pain. Ruben was watching the bright orange tacky creature skip across the park, harassing the local children.

I don't care if he has been arrested 14 times for indecent exposure, Ruben wrote down I still love him. The stiff tail of cool cat was almost as hard as Ruben's penis. While he was running it got caught in a bush and he tried to walk away awkwardly as if nothing had happened. Ruben's heart beat increased. The furry gloves of Cool Cat were recklessly attached to his hands and they bounced up and down as he moved. Cool cat's face then turned to Ruben his eyes were lifeless, dark, and frightening. How dreamy. Ruben closed his journal and waited as cool cat stumbled over to where he was sitting.

"Hey kid," Cool cat yelled in an annoying yet mystifying high pitched voice "What are you doing sitting by yourself in this park?"

"Oh..." Ruben began to speak, he could barely get out a word. His brain was a mush all he could focus on was Cool Cat's tacky orange fur "I was just writing..."

"COOOoooooOOOoool." He said it was his famous catchphrase, and Cool cat spoke it with extreme delicacy.

Ruben felt a tingling in his pants, he could not take the smexyness presented before him, it was too much stress on his body.

"It looks like you need a friend." Cool cat said staring down at him.

"Oh not really. But I do need something more than just a friend." Ruben whispered, it was hard to hear but Cool cat listened to every word.

"Oh? What's that?"

"I...I..." Ruben could barely get out the words his body tensed, he began to sweat. He feared that his true emotions for Cool cat would pour out of him. "I...I have been watching you...for awhile now."

"Now why would you do that?"

"Because....because..." This was it. This was the moment. Ruben felt his heart explode at the possibility of being with Cool cat forever. He opened his mouth, he was ready for the consequences. He closed his eyes and reached deep into his mind for the right answer and then he spoke.
